>things never happened

not buying proudly cheap MICROSFT mice
????????????????????????????????????

This has happened to ever Logitech mouse I've bought.

I bought a Microsoft Intellimouse and haven't looked back since

>G400 starts doubleclicking

>2 year old G600
>everything including the thumb buttons works perfectly
feels good man

Ive had a Logitech wireless for like 7 years and it works fine, stop kicking the shit out of your mouse

>9 years old MX518
>Still working like new
>Dreading the day it starts failing

I don't want to buy a mouse every 6 months, fuck that bullshit.

I'm gonna get me a new mouse in a few months because this fucking MS mouse I have now has been double clicking for a while and has now started triple clicking sometimes. It's truly a hell to live with.
I don't wanna spend more than $15 on a mouse but I also don't want to play every fucking video file I click to drag.

>8 year old Genius mouse still works
I love cheap shit, it's reliable as fuck.

>7 years old G9x
>Had to replace the right switch and the teflon feets once
>still werks

>9 year old G9 or whatever, modified to fuck and back
>still works like a champ

I still need to understand what's preventing people from getting Zowie mices.

t. logijew shill

get a refund you retard

>tfw my g502 from last year still werks
I might side grade to a g403
The sensor aren't as good as they could be and they're not as popular as Logitech

stupidity

>MX518
>10 years old or something round this

still works

> sensors aren't as good
What do you mean?

I'm very satisfied with my Roccat Savu.
There's even free as in freedom software to configure it. roccat.sourceforge.net/
and the manufacturer links to it on the offical homepage.

>already threw out the box and receipt

1. Write the warranty expiration date on new boxes
2. Put receipt in box
3. Dispose when date is reached

holy shiiiet this is good.

Thanks, I'll post it in /r/Lifehacks

he means that some mouse autist can find minute tracking errors that have no real world effect on the performance of the mouse.

The only thing shit on the zowie mice is the scroll wheel

My G9 started double clicking in 2014 and I had it since 2008

It's a good idea to take a picture of the receipts, some of them get bleached.jpg quickly.

> scroll wheel
> shit
I like its feel on my FK2 desu.

>It's a good idea to take a picture of the receipts,
+1

>+1

You can just replace microswitches and call it a day. So could OP if he wasn't a retarded Sup Forumseddit spilloff who hasn't soldered shit in his life.

...

1) receipts go in folder, ordered chronologically by date of expiration
1a) whenever inserting new receipt into the folder, check the latest and discard if expired until non-expired receipt is reached
2) boxes go in each other (as convenient) for optimum storage space utilization

>having to repair 6 month old products is reasonable

Do you work for Saitek

every Logitech mouse starts double clicking after a while actually

Fixing it takes less than an hour though. If you have problems putting that thing back on its place (you'll know what thing I'm talking about) just look at it very carefully and you will find a tiny tiny notch that you need to lock on some lace you will eventually find out. Use a magnifying glass and whatever you do don't try to force it. Also if you accidentally break the plastic cover of the switch that's all right (but try not to), it really doesn't matter.

No. I didn't have to repair anything in my g400 that I have for at least 4 years, but once it does break I will probably just fix it and keep using it.

>You can just replace microswitches
Where does one buy microswitches?

>inb4 buy a 100 pack on ebay even if you literally only need one xD

>Where does one buy microswitches?
>I have never bought anything related to electronics in my whole life

In Steren for like 50 cents? Retard.

>Steren
literally who

>Have G700 for 7 years now
>Still works perfectly

take a working one from an old mouse lying around?

I'll level with you retards
you don't even have to replace the microswitch if you are actually good at fixin shit unlike there are two locking tabs on either side of the switch
carefully release them and remove the top half of the switch.
under that you will find a lil thin strip of metal between two contact points, gently bend that fucker upwards and clean the whole thing with 90% iso, re assemble, problem solved

>year old logitech g700 mouse starts double clicking
>contact logitech support
>give them a photo of mouse, proof that I own it
>get a new g700s mouse in retail packaging in the mail a week later

wow that was hard

Happened to my Razer gaymin shit too

>Corsair mouse starts double clicking within aa month of getting it
>Corsair keyboard double types after 4 months

>Rebrands the company products are failing
>i wonder why

>doubleclicks
I did not know this was a thing. I change my mice when the grips are worn out, anywhere between three and ten years. Most of them have been logitech IIRC. What the fuck do you guys do to your peripherals?

>What the fuck do you guys do to your peripherals?
Use them every day for 12-16 hours.

Hardcore usage, like gaming.

This is actually terrible advice, unbending delicate parts like this will often lead to a) breaking part of it b) it going back to bad very soon. It's not worth the effort and not a solution. You don't fix parts like this, you just replace them, period. The only reason to not replace entire micro switches is if you don't own soldering station.

I have a 10 year old MX510 that has seen constant, daily use for that entire period.

When I wasn't living the glorious NEET life as i am now I actually took it to work and used it for 8 hours a day, then proceeded to haul it home with me every day for that 3 year period.

At one point I kind of wanted it to die so I could justify buying a new mouse... then I realized that I've had this mouse since before I started dating my wife.

Does that involve smashing it in a fit of rage when you lose? Because that's the only thing that I could imagine would really strain a mouse.

Maybe one day you can pass it on to your wife's son.

I never lose.

ASSFAGGOT players get really butthurt when they lose.

Been there, done that, including a national tournament for SC2 back in WoL, I came fifth. Still have never experienced a double click or killed a mouse. Again, what the fuck do you guys do with your peripherals?

>g700
>sleek matte black design
>g700s
>gaymer stickers and retarded color scheme
kill me

I bought a Razer DeathAdder 2013 and it quickly started being shitty. Can't click the mouse wheel anymore and it double clicks occasionally when doing a single click.

>not being smart enough to clean and rebuild mouse switches

I've been using the same mouse since 2002 and it still doesn't double click.

>use mouse wheel to scroll down
>it scrolls down fine

>use mouse wheel to scroll up
>it bounces up and down

Mine was like that out of the box.

>One month old logitech mouse
>Middle click stops working

I found a mouse under the sink with a rusty USB plug and I'm using it for my laptop.

After normal to heavy use all day every day, my 2004 MX1000 is still doing largely fine.

Battery doesn't keep much of a charge any more, though - most of the time, anyway.

>Just take it apart and bend the metal thing
Werks for me, just took me few hours

>a 8 years old G9 mouse
>only came to present problems last year

RMA you cuck

>clean and rebuild mouse switches

Never had to do that, but over the years my switches have notched the plastic on the underside of the mouse buttons to the degree where clicks stopped registering unless I CLICKED REAL HARD

My current hackfix is putting some adhesive tape on the underside of the buttons and it's working all right so far, but I certainly wouldn't mind suggestions...

This has happened to my Intellimouse Explorer 3.0.

Might as well ask here, what's a good mouse for >$40

I hsd to send my steelseries in before getting a replacement.. Still werks after 2 years

heh my intellimouse still works like new
suck it fags

>all my razershit, stealseries and corsair mice never have any issues and I only ever swap them out just to try something new
>people that buy these Sup Forums meme mice because they're "so much better" than "gaymer" mice get fuckerd immediately

>Year old chink mouse
>Works as new

>G9X since 2012
>works great

its a shame they don't make them anymore

>6 year old A4tech 6 dollar mouse
>zero problems

>using mice
>not being a keyboard power user

install vimperator.

My last and final zowie mouse (fk) had double clicks, squeaking and scroll issues after 1 year.

>i beat the shit out of my mouse then get mad when it breaks

take better care of your shit retard

>power user
>VIMperator
More like a power luser.

M-x eww is less bloated than firefox and that fuckhuge javascript suite

>paying the plastic jew
>any year
you asked for this

>2 years old microshaft optical mouse
>have no problems at all
It just werks :^)

T. Manbear

> 2yo Logitech G500s
> No issues at all\

le ebin MX Performance.
Happened like 3 times. Also the silver plastic looks like my hands were laced in acid while using it.

>10 year old micro$oft mouse that cost $10
>still works perfectly after a decade of hardcore NEET gaming
>4 year old razer keyboard that cost $50
>still works perfectly after years of hardcore NEET gaming

>bought a Logicuck keyboard once
>it literally started malfunctioning after 1 hour, activating 5 or 6 keys when I press 1 key due to circuitry fuckup
>checked Logicuck tech support forums
>hundreds of people complaining about the exact same problem with the same model keyboard
>returned it, never bought another Logicuck product again

i had a deathadder for 3 years and decided to buy a logishit mice, got the g402 bcuz people told me it was great and it had "insane speed tracking"
>mouse spins out if i flick it in a moderate speed
>actvating fusion engine adds acceleration and makes mouse feel laggy

fuck me im going back to my razor

>buy Razer Lycosa
>works fine for months
>suddenly starts to go apeshit and only fix when it happens is to reconnect the usb
>have to keep a coin on the shitty media touch controls to keep it from happening
>typing with the keyboard feels like shit
>suffer for years
>finally sell the piece of shit on the flea market for 8 yuros
>buy logitech G710+ for 50 yuros
>be happy

Omron switches have this double click problem. Sadly Logitech loves Omron and no company has invented a better solution.

I've had a logitech mouse for 4-5 years and it didn't doubleclick. I didn't even know that was a thing that happened.

>paying shekels for logikek
>ever

>18 months old counterfeit Razer Naga Hex
>manufactured by crippled chink kids
>made by scrap parts
>sold at 20€ incl shipping
>it still works great
I'll never fall for the original brand meme ever again.

>mouse doubleclicks
>open it and remove the metal piece that bends
>not only bend it back but overdo it a bit
>reassemble
>CLAKACLAKACLAKA
One of Earths biggest pleasures

This, frankly.

dubs of truth have spoken.
Also, the mousewheel degrades into a pulpy mass after being exposed to UV rays too long. Same as Dell clit mouses, btw.

>2 year old Logikike mouse
>still as good as new
G402 master race reporting in. What mouse did you buy, OP?

Clean your switches. I had my chroma for like a year before it needed to be cleaned.

What's weird is I had a MX518 for like 10 years and never once required a switch cleaning.

>Sup Forums
>using mouse
faggots

I had the m345 and now the m650(best mouse i've had in my life), and they both started double clicking about a year later :c

>best mouse in my life
>double clicks after 1 year
Your life is shit.
