I just bought this. Did I make a bad choice?

I just bought this. Did I make a bad choice?

good job, you fell for a meme

Was it? I read good reviews online and on YouTube

prob

>not a MacBook
yes

looks nice op how do you like it?

how much did you pay

you're hurting me

idk I'm just spewing bullshit

I paid about $550 USD for it shipped.
It's not bad. I still need to reinstall the track pad drivers but aside from that everything seems solid. Battery life gets me a full day at the office

How well does Linux work?
Can it do anything cool like the thinkpad battery thing?
Is there a bios legacy mode?
Can you unlock secure boot?
Can you use the grub_cryptodisk option to encrypt the /boot partition?

Haven't tried Linux on it yet. I'm thinking soon but so far w10 is my main os now.
Nothing like the think pad battery since I never owned one but it does have this fancy battery saving mode.
Bios does have legacy mode.
Yes you can
And yes

Best bang for bucks right now
Moar pics please

it's the best laptop on the market right now under like 1300$ so you did well. i'd get one but i am eurofag and it has no CE symbol so customs will fuck me

How is the keyboard?

Xiaomi mi notebook air 2 something like that

how heavy is it?

i love how it doesn't have a logo on the back of the screen

Can you at least live boot GNU/Linux?

Really is the perfect laptop for me at least. Save for perhaps a gtx1050 instead but hey, that's just being picky.

I really want one but have been thrown off by the possibility of custom seizure due to lack of CE standard in EU.

What is the likelihood of managing to get one sent to the UK?

Looks cute.
Never heard of this

I got mine off Banggood. They were pretty helpful getting mine to Japan from China. Don't know much about EU though. Sorry.
Fairly light. I think around 1.3kg. my old netbooks weighed heavier than this.
Really great actually. One of the best features I find on the device.
Xiaomi mi notebook 12.5

There is a 13.3 inch version which is more powerful but I couldn't get it at the time I made this purchase.

Have you owned a macbook pro before? How does it feel compared to it? Does it get too hot and does it feel durable?

I had the first gen MacBook air before. To be honest it feels very similar to it.

I never had it get too hot. Even when I was rendering videos using premiere.

Durability is great. Keyboard doesn't bend. Screen isn't flimsy like most notebooks.

What I like is that you can lift the lid with one hand. The body stays put on the surface

orgasmic when laptops achieve such
