how often do you plug in your headphones while the phone is charging?
Everyday.
>How often do you eat and drink at the same time huehue you don't NEED both at the same time, so it's okay to make it so you can only use one at a time!
People that drive a lot while listening to music from their phone do this frequently.
Fine I'll bite the bait. Bluetooth has been around fucking ages, and yet bluetooth headphone selections till sucks. Bluetooth as a standard for audio still sucks. The compression is terrible. The market and development for wireless tech, especially headphones, has been stagnant for years despite plenty of room for advancement. The future is wireless. Right now this seems like "normie trash" because the current state of wireless is in 99% cases inferior to current wired options. But there's room for advancement. Look at AC vs N. Sure ethernet is better for consistency but AC is overall worlds better than N was.
Point I'm trying to make is the market is stagnant and the only way to motivate more development and improvement is for Apple to go cold turkey and force manufacturers to innovate and improve. Right now that means retardation with adapters, but in the future it means much better selection for wireless headphones and potentially a better standard for bluetooth.
It's like pure, brazen facts and daily lifestyle bounce right odd of itoddler skulls

Not everyone is driving a 90s Nissan shitwagon like you. Bluetooth has been in cars for over a decade commonly.
>he thinks Bluetooth has good sound quality
>I am the king of the universe, my lifestyle is the only one that matters, and I would never allow this epic travesty
You speak as if connectivity weren't just one of 10 or 20 equally important reasons one might buy a given smartphone.
Oh look, here come's the snake oil brigade
>caring about 320kbps vs FLAC through your car speakers
Nice try, retard.
lmao what the fuck
I wouldn't say it's been common for over a decade, but it has been common for a good while now and it's actually hard to find a new car without it. Guess I don't really have an argument against that.
wow you're weird, nobody ever does that
I have a stereo I listen to music with, not some shitty phone DAC
hurr
That's a weird bluetooth cable :ˆ)
Apple actually has already improved this situation as their airpods use a new Bluetooth audio codec that gives (supposedly) higher audio quality. In addition they use a protocol that allows more reliable automatic pairing.
a bluetooth adapter is like $5, don't believe the trolls
Lets say I do it often enough to never buy an iDongle because of that.
lol perfect
In my experience, over maybe the past 5-6 years it's been common to buy an aftermarket deck for $130 or less that has bluetooth functionality.

Yep. Fucktards are too busy memeing about them to actual read anything.
Imagine loading up your Apple™ Beats™ with bluetooth headphones, your brand new 13 inch MBP™ 2016 and your iPhone 7 all at once. You need an adapter to be able to load up your Beats™ and your iPhone™, so when you connect them to your MBP™, you notice quickly, that all Thunderbolt™/USB C© ports are then taken, so you need another adapter to make at least 2 out of 1 of your USB C© ports.
That way you are using the future! You use solely bluetooth and charge with USB C©/Thunderbolt™. You even got the official Apple™ merch in form of Beats™ headphones, but still have to resort back to 3 adapters. If you wish to power your Beats™ with the outdated and lame 3,5mm headphone jack (eww), you even need 4 adapters.
I love how thin it is.
With loading up I mean charging, we Ubuntu users usually say loading instead of charging.

>Apple actually has already improved this situation by releasing a bunch of proprietary shit that they're just going to dump in a couple years, and packaging it into a product more aesthetically pleasing than functional
I've literally never liked the earpods. I was excited to try them when they came out, as I don't like IEMs, but they sounded worse than a pair for $20 Sony Sport earbuds, and couldn't stay in my ears at all.
Paying $160 for some shit they'll stop supporting natively after a couple years, that'll sound awful if the current ear-pods are any indicator, and run a high risk of just bouncing out of your ears sounds like a fucking waste of money.
They say they'll put the same thing in beats on-ears phones within a month or something.
>Bluetooth has been in cars for over a decade commonly.
For steaming audio? No, it hasn't. In low end cars that's a development of the last few years and just plain didn't exist until the late 2000s. My MY2007 car doesn't have this capability and no, it's not a shitwagon.
Almost always
Whenever I need to make a call and my phone is charging...?
You don't actually like having a hot phone making your ear sweat when doing business calls or talking to a qt at night, do you?
Look what I've got, USB A/C!
Works both sides around and is red instead of blue in the plug.
I love it.

I will go ahead with the consumerist blog post here:
I was seriously considering an ishit until I saw what the 7 had come to be.
I have used Android for a long time and dev subsidized lines like the Nexus were a good value since they had good hardware and the largest degree of customization and software optimization
I liked Android at that point because I used my phone for media consumption and an array of other things that required fine grain control. It was also cheap and had decent hardware.
Presently I have stopped using my phone for media consumption and heavy internet browsing. I find myself dependent mostly on the stock features of the phone.
I stopped having a need for various levels of adblocking, an open file system, UI tweaking etc (things Android was perfect for)
I value a consistent UI and a non fragmented software release community and don't mind paying a bit extra. Since the Nexus line is gone there isn't much choice left for price:performance in the Android ecosystem unless you get some obscure gookphone and anyone that leaves the basement more than once a month doesn't want to deal with that.
From the freedom perspective:
Phones are proprietary tracking devices so from that perspective Android is the same as Apple. Actually, Apple has gained more respect in my eyes with the recent hard stance the company took, especially compared to Google, which has no regard for its users.
I was seriously considering an iphone but Apple seems to be going in a completely wrong direction after the iphone 5. Removal of the jack, no matter how much COURAGE it took was a stupid move for a market that is not ready. Not including the new wireless technology with your 700USD+ imeme is an insult to the consumer (it's like Apple wants to see just how much they can abuse their customers). Another thing is the lack of a quality display on the phone and the lack of good battery life (although shit battery life has been a standard feature on the iphone)
tl;dr I would have gotten an ishit if they didn't actually remove features from it
Why? Best example I've gotten was co-worker's Pokemon Go eating so much battery life that he has to charge while listening to music
Other than that I've yet to hear a single coherent reason to do this.
the pic of 7 is also missing the dongle you'll need to plug it into a macbook
The market will never be ready unless a large manufacturers forces it.
>lack of quality display
>The Absolute Color Accuracy of the iPhone 7 is Truly Impressive as shown in these Figures. It has an Absolute Color Accuracy of 1.1 JNCD for the sRGB / Red.709 Color Gamut that is used for most current consumer content, and 1.0 JNCD for the Wider DCI-P3 Color Gamut that is used for 4K UHD TVs and Digital Cinema. It is the most color accurate display that we have ever measured. It is Visually Indistinguishable From Perfect, and is very likely considerably better than any mobile display, monitor, TV or UHD TV that you have

Pretty often considering that iPhone batteries are garbage
Stupid normie consumer whore
More than you would think.
$2.00 has been deposited into your Apple™ store account.
>most accurate LCD display
Learn to read poordroid.
Why are you even here?
>most color accurate LCD display
>compared to an OLED display
Why don't you read through the posts again.
>The market will never be ready unless a large manufacturers forces it.
They should be forcing viable advancements not removal of standard features for a technology that they can't even include with the shipped item you paid ~700USD+ for.
The wireless meme headphones are still delayed and will cost 160USD plus. If they were market ready they would have been either:
A. Available with the phone purchase as a standard feature
B. Available for a reasonable price on product launch with no excuses
Neither of those happened and now people are stuck with using an extra adapter for wired headphones and waiting for to pay 160USD for muh wireless headphones with a TBD release date. If that isn't the definition of a disastrous product launch then I don't know what is.
As for you LCD claim, while it might be a very good LCD panel, it's competing in an OLED world. Apple is behind on this aspect of tech as well.
The iphone 7 had very little to offer in the first place so it should not have prematurely jumped into implementing their new proprietary wireless standard and expect everyone to blindly follow like its 2008
Regarding OLED. Apple is not "behind" per se. They don't have an OLED phone on the market, but this whole time everyone has been rushing out OLED panels they've been R&D'ing the hell out of the panel that will be in the next iPhone. I'm very confident that Apple will rival or exceed samsung on their first try.
>adapter that goes on adapter so you can use headphones
APPLE IS A FUCKING JOKE
Everything is allowed when you have a huge army of braindead teens ready to defend and buy anything you throw at them.
> Spend three years designing the earpods
> They only last for 4 years in the market before they're obsolete
Steve didn't die for this shit
this is good shit
>implying appletards can afford a car that doesn't need a cassette adapter to play music
This is so dumb, it's a valid concern. I don't even know what this comic is trying to say. "Le fedora man = argument invalid xDdd".
Why isn't sitting at home and wanting to listen to music from your phone whilst charging a valid use case?
So? Not everyone does. Trying to argue that is as retarded as justifying apple removing the camera because "I own a DLSR I use to take pictures anyway"
>Music is only stored on phone and want to listen to it, battery almost dead
>Away from home (laptop/PC/hi-fi) and want to listen to music, battery almost dead
>Want to watch YouTube when out, battery almost dead
>Want to watch film when out, battery almost dead
Charging doesn't have to be a wall socket either, could easily be a charging port on a plane or train, portable battery pack etc.
There's hundreds of situations where headphones + charging is needed.
Lol, fuck outta here.
>Apple sells a phone with less features
>people still eat it up
They can literally do anything and still make money. Each could come with giant sharpened spikes coming out of the sides of them and they would still sell like hotcakes.
Or when you're the co-driver
Nigga have you ever driven a Penske?
Box trucks typically aren't built with the audio system in mind. Some of us work for a living.
Why the hell would they need to force headphone companies to innovate on that end? They make headphones too. Why don't they just make a quality bluetooth headphone (lel airpods) before taking out the jack from the iPhone?
Everyone?
>he has a reason to come to Sup Forums

perfect application of this video
even better than nvidia
What? Apple has already created the literally perfect LCD. The displays in the iPhone 7 and iPad pro are better than any consumer LCD on the market. You can check the measurements from displaymate.
>does it make you buy more stuff?
>yes.
That's why.
Buying third party adapters that give Apple no additional revenue? Maybe you should rethink what you typed.
how often do you plug in your butt while you are masturbating?
>why is this allowed?
Because people who don't own iPhones don't know about synching over WiFi, since their frugal-tech phones don't support it.
