Did you miss one of the 60 screws?

fuck

I just thought of a nice way to deal with this many screws.

Get a tablet, take a picture of the layout, put that picture on the screen in fullscreen mode, set each screw on the screen on their own spots.

I just place screws on the flat surface in the order how they go.
Top row belongs to top row of hiles, and so on.

>take my laptop apart today to clean it out and put new TIM on the CPU and GPU
>put it back together, 2 screws left over and the DVD drive won't go back in because I reassembled it in the wrong order
>too lazy to take it apart again an rectify these issues

Just fuck my shit

ITT: lazy retards

Never change, Sup Forums

>disassemble and reassemble laptop
>get rid of unnecessary screws in the process
It's lighter now, I made it faster

>disassemble and reassemble laptop
>forgot to plug the speakers to motherboard

>disassemble laptop
>forgot to reassemble it and now it won't turn on

wtf Sup Forums

>laptop defect
>disassemble laptop
>don't find defect for 2 hours
>put it back together
>works

regular occurence.

>disassemble and reassemble my Compaq cq60 I've had for like 8 years
>the screws are literally crumbling to dust and no longer threading properly
>only barely managed to scrape by with the bare minimum of screws to tenuously hold the thing together because many of the screws and screwholes are completely dilapidated now
>keyboard is uneven and creaks, palmrest isn't flush, display bezel flaps around, etc

Provided that you have a tablet handy that's genius! (not needed for notebook repair but for some crazy CNC circuitry damn useful!)

>disassemble laptop to replace HDD with an SSD, new RAM and new battery
>reassemble it without problems because I am not a fucking retard

Internals slightly touching somewhere they shouldn't be and it's like a needle in a haystack

RIP

What the fuck kind of laptop needs to be "disassembled" to replace HDD, battery, RAM? A fucking crapple book?

newest ultrabook were like that though, dumb i know but some of them have maintenance hatch so easy to replace (like dell inspiron and asus zen/vivo just remove back cover)

>mfw disassembling laptop to clean the fan

I'll just say FUCK POWER RIBBONS.

When I do that I call it "optimizing", as my teaks work better then the original.

Many question me, but in the end they all admit it either workd just as well or better after I "messed" with it.

i just installed a higher resolution panel on my laptop, and had to change LCD cable a few hours ago

rather than take the laptop all the way apart, I ghetto routed the new cable and wasn't able to get the protective thing on the hinge. I don't remember what the black thing was, but laptop is working and new display looks great

Many screws are unecessary anyways.

>I just place screws on the flat surface in the order how they go.

Fucking this, I thought this was common sense to do.

>disassemble and reassemble laptop
>power button not working, screen won't turn on
>panic at the disco!

You got a smartphone, nigger. USE IT.
I've got a collection of take-down photogrpahs for every single laptop, console, and tablet I've ever taken apart, just in case I have to fix them again in the near future.

>take apart laptop
>cheap plastic latches break

Fuck

>A fucking crapple book?
Yep.

>try to reassemble laptop
>there's this one screw that doesn't work anymore when you try to put ir back

That's what you get if you don't check out if an appliance works before assembling it back together

>disassemble and reassemble laptop
>Webcam doesn't work
>I just don't care

How will the government spy on you now?
