Sup Forumsuts thread

Guts.

who else think guts and """battlestation""" threads are fucking cancer

Why are you so salty that you are either too stupid to build a computer or too poor to own anything better than an HP?

Go back to wasting your neetbux on /csg/

A day without gutsu is a day is like a day without sunshine.

It's veiled avatarfagging. We got rid of desktop threads so this is where they go.

...

>EVGA 1080
enjoy the fire

First good picture I've seen of the nitro's side profile in the wild.

Man, that's a sexy card. I wish one of Nvidia's partners had something even close to that.

Enjoy your down syndrome.

Ya I really like the closed look of it, I'm not a fan of the open cards where you can see heat pipes all over from the side. The nitro backplate is really nice as well

...

>too stupid to build a computer
why do you think assembling consumer parts together like legos makes you intelligent? that's not "building" retard
>too poor
I have a better pc than your shitty memecooler, you don't see me taking pictures of it for validation on an anonymous board.

You're pretty visibly upset. Also, OP here - is not , but nice try.

It's alright to be upset, man. We're all friends here. Nobody will judge.

you guys should start placing anime figurines in your computers so we can get these threads banned too

4690k, evga 1070, 16gb ddr3, z97i-plus and case is fractal define nano s

my newist build. was thinking of waiting for zen but after hearing and seeing amd's own videos showing how its going to match broadwell in performance, i just went ahead and bought a 6850k.

Too many LEDs bro
but otherwise looking nice. what case is that?

pretty

led's are sadly built in to the motherboard, sound card, AND gpu. no way to disable them on the sound card, video card requires some asus software running in the background 24/7 to disable them, and motherboard bios i could only see an option to change the color, not turn them off......... like every manufacturer collectively got together and decided to toss led's on everything.

the case is a corsair 600c. really like the inverted style.

...

>seeking validation
No, it's called sharing your hobby with other enthusiasts.
Desktop threads were banned because retards started using it as a way to post lewd and furry pics, not because of anime.

that's a sexy case. those are corsair's new magnetic fans, right?

>pc """building"""
>hobby
>buyfags
>enthusiasts
you can't make this shit up pls go kys yourself

yeah its their the new maglev fans. practically zero motor noise. when they spin up all you hear is the sound of rushing air. and since their pwm they change rpm very smoothly.

>watercooling anything other than the highest-end chips in a single configuration

The entire loop besides blocks cost me about 50 dollars total, and that's including three radiators I didn't install because I'm too lazy. The block itself I got for 50 bucks used, and gave it a quick cleanthrough and it's fine now. Bite me.

>Muh watercooling!
Are you even overclocking?

Also why so defensive?

>Are you even overclocking?
Yeah, GPU is running at 2300ish core and +450 memory, and the CPU is 4.8 GHz. Load temps are 44-45.

Well atleast you're doing that but seriously buying a used cheap open loop water cooling system may makes me shit myself, I dread to think of any leaks which is a very real possibility. Then th at comes with it so much maintenance, i found my computer to be almost more offline then online from it all

Got a megahalems heatsink and my temps are fine.

...

They weren't used, I know people. Although I completely understand there are many, many reasons why you wouldn't watercool. I've spilt on my mobo before and had to spend countless hours troubleshooting with a build that takes a few hours to tear down just to pull a GPU. It's not fun.

holy shit, your camouflage actually works. i literally cannot see your motherboard

Honestly I think it's fine and even interesting to share images of your setups and discuss things related to them but many people feel the need to trip for whatever reason and use these threads as chatrooms just like desktop threads used to be. Not sure what is wrong with people.

LEDs are cancer. They look fucking horrible. The fucking dumb uneven, unfocused lighting. A lot of PC enthusiasts don't have any taste or style whatsoever.
Just make it as clean as possible without any bullshit and you'll have something that doesn't look half bad.
PCs arent pretty!

>tfw I was one of the first fags building a system in a S340 on Sup Forums
Everyone seems to be using them nowadays.

Should I go for an s340, a define mini c or an enthoo evolv itx?

s340 elite if you're inclined to spend a bit more.
Tbh, the only fault I could find on the regular s340 is the plexiglass window which scratches if you look at it wrong. The elite one solves the issue by using tempered glass.

>less shitty pic

White or black.

The elite looks sexy as fuck but comes in at $135 for black glass version and $150 for white. I find that slightly steep when the non elite comes under $100 here in Canada.

I figure I'll go itx because it looks good and is the cheapest

...

I paid less than €60 for the regular S340, when they came out. The Elite is more than double that, where I live.
If I were you I'd bet on the Elite, given that slight price bump compared to the regular one.

Anyway, go for the color that goes best with your setup. The white one looks amazing with white boards, tho. The black one is more neutral and gives you room to play around with whatever colour scheme you want.

how´s the Cryorig H7 going? anyone else using a Cryorig Cooler? would like to hear your opinion, user.

One of my tables is mahogany, the other is very light brown.

I have a black speaker/radio system. If I go black I will just keep it all black.

Its so goddamn hard to choose.

not that user, but 6600k is very chilly with it, and the mounting is a breeze.

OP here. I had the original S340 right after it came out and was right with you as one of the "original" builders. It's a great bang for your buck case. This one is the S340 Elite that I upgraded to not too long ago and it's made some pretty minor but nice improvements over the standard S340.

I'm not a fan of the camouflage pattern, but I wanted a white board to go with the color scheme. This was, at the time, my only option.

...

Cryorig coolers are legit. C7 and R1 ultimate owner and both are excellent.

I want to move into a less restrictive case. Thinking about either a Define S, H440 or Air 740.

What case is that?

Phanteks enthoo Luxe.
A bit pricey but it's really an amazing case. Lot of stuff included with the Luxe edition.

...

how big are all those hard drives? why would you need so many? what do you use them for? must be heavy..

sli in 2016 LUL

The speccy is right there, it's 3x4TB and 1x5TB.

Lots of movies, TV, and anime.

The 5TB is my most recent addition, it's only got a few hundred GB used on it.

ever think of getting an ssd or ssedbox/server? my HDDs are starting to slow down on me- especially for games (stuttering every minute or so)

...

...

I have a 500GB SATA SSD and a 250GB M.2 950 Pro for my boot drive.

All games and programs that have I/O concerns are on SSDs. Only my media is kept on HDDs.

Also my 5TB HDD is a 7200 RPM WD black drive, so it would be decent performance if I had to use an HDD for something.

Found this LianLi case in a scrap dumpster years ago. Been using it for my builds ever since.

thank you.
here is 1/2

Agree.

2/2

don't really like the case but i'm not sure if i should buy another case for my 1st pc and leave the other to have the old case of my first

this second pc has really bad air flow.

They're a pretty good case tbqh fampai.

I was actually going to get a corsair, but when I was in Microcenter I seen the yellow and I fell in love with it, such an unusual color.

...

>Starting the thread with a bang

amidoinitrite?

Used as gaming machine, compute box and 40TB server.

>Then th at comes with it so much maintenance
Why do people think that? I change my fluid and tubes once every two years, open up the blocks while I've got it apart for inspection, and ONCE I've had to top up the reservoir. It's not that much extra maintenance at all.

>a build that takes a few hours to tear down just to pull a GPU
Also doing it wrong. Open the valve (You do have a drain valve, don't you?), let it drain, and pull two fittings. If that takes hours, then building that computer must have taken you days.

>no graphics card
>single channel RAM for IGP
>stock case fan
>stock CPU cooler
>ancient PSU
>LED strips on a non-windowed side panel

Please be bait!

>tube spaghetti
This is what happens when you're dumb and think you need to have a radiator in between each of your blocks.

Go with black. At least it'll be cohesive.

Yes it is. And it's cheap.

>no graphics card
haven't finished assembling it yet

>single channel RAM for IGP
haven't finished assembling it yet

>stock case fan
it delivers fresh air inside the case, I don't need some fancy shit for that

>stock CPU cooler
my Alphacool Eisbaer is coming in 2 weeks, need something to use the PC until then

>ancient PSU
well, if it ain't broken, don't fucking replace it...

>LED strips on a non-windowed side panel
the card will be visible just fine through the mesh...

That color scheme is actually very well executed user

I haven't been a big fan of corsair cases but this might win me over if I do another build soon

S340 is definitely the best way to go out of the three if you're willing to drop just a little bit more money.

That depends. Do you want to go ATX, Micro ATX, or Mini ITX? Answer that and you will have answered your question.

...

just put my new PSU in.

...

>1000w
Literally for what reason?

Why though?
Just throw out 1 card, sli is shit anyways.

Maybe he's going to overclock that Vishera, top kek.

to trigger you faggots
it seems to be working

but on a serious note, i plan on getting 2 gpu's the 750ti is from my old build (pic related), and i'd like to overclock the 8350, not sure if i wanna get 2 rx480's (which is probably what will happen) or 2 gtx 1080's, i work part time as a wagecuck so i have to save up for months before buying something, because insurance and shit for my truck n what not.

i just noticed that this says 24gb of dual channel ddr3... im thinking a ram stick came out of its socket. supposed to be 32gigs.

>To trigger you faggots
Yeah, because you'd spend more money on a PSU than necessary just to spite anonymous people, you're the winner here lol.

That said, I've got a Seasonic 1050 powering this, but only because it used to have 2x 590's and all the HDD's.

Oh, and this for good measure.
I've lost the pic that show it's an AX750 ;_;
>340w draw per card

S340 elite or not elite

Even a 1050 would get bottlenecked by your cpu and you're thinking of dual 1080s.

>S340 elite
What's the difference?

Full meme tempered glass instead of a window

Basically just paying to not get scratches on the window. Up to you.

I used to care about cable management. Then I bought a Sugo.

IDK man there''s no other place for these threads really, and you can't really deny that some of these are aesthetic as fuck. I think computer chair and desk threads are pretty stupid though. It's almost akin to showing off your nice car that won't go above the speedlimit much and which you're probably not much good at driving anyway. Either way you don't have to get so fucking triggered, go vent on some other thread.

Though to my credit I did shorten most of the power cables myself. Still don't know where to put the hdd.

Protip from my mistake: go with a sfx power supply.

Why? Because I want to fit an EK Predator 360 to my CPU, and maybe add the video cards in later on.
As for SLI, one 1070 wasn't enough to play the games I wanted at the resolution, quality and framerate I wanted. Two is enough.

I was so jealous of your build four years ago. I still am in a way.

I got the same case, I absolutely love the compact design but great temperatures i can get it to run at.

In addition to that, do you mind showing how you have that vertical hard drive mounted?

Sapphire really know how to make their card looks sexy

Another Cryorig H7 owner checking in...
It keeps my 6600k nice and cool, it was easy to install, and it looks better than any Coolermaster unit. I don't think I will ever go to water cooling with the price and performance of Cryorig's air coolers.

pls r8 no h8

the main build is nearly 4 and a half years old, just changed the cooler and case over the years

your loop pushes hot water from dual gpu into your cpu cooler and you're talking about how dumb other people's builds are jesus christ
