Try enabling or disabling graphics acceleration, see if one of the settings works better
Make sure your video card drivers work
Restart ff once every day or two if you are a "power user", or use hibernate a lot
Last possibility: your computer simply sucks
I can say though that ff is sometimes choppy even on a modern i7 laptop with ssd and dedicated graphics, i use it daily with around 10 addons
Justin White
>WTF am I doing wrong? You're not using openwith and mpv
Ayden Parker
you are not using mpv for viewing videos
Nicholas Cooper
Thanks for the effort of giving advice but this is really bad advice
I know for a fact everything works fine with other browsers
And this is my computer, this isn't a hardware issue
Lincoln Ramirez
Ok how do I use it?
Anthony Roberts
Also I don't use hibernate, drivers working, tried with and without accel
Xavier Turner
Download mpv.
Ayden Gomez
You must have a shit ton of useless add-ons that are conflicting with each other. Used some kind of modification that disturbed the config of the browser. Who knows.
I would make a new Windows user account and clean install a fresh copy of Firefox to test. Often times it is Windows decay.
Carter Edwards
wow it's nothing
David Scott
Maybe your 10 year old laptop just isn't enough for the modern web
Asher Foster
I didn't realize people still used noscript despite all the shit the author's up to.
Eli Adams
Using a 10 year old PC does that.
Aiden Morgan
What'd he do? It's mostly disabled for me on most sites
Jack Parker
download mpv + youtubedl + Watch with MPV/one of the other "open with" addons
Isaiah Gonzalez
delusions literally no problems in any other browser
Dylan Parker
Why do I need to do all this just to watch youtube videos smoothly when every other browser has smooth youtube videos from the get go?
I love firefox but this is a joke
Joshua Moore
Works perfectly on my machine™. Switch to Linux if you want better performance. My 2nd shit tier PC without a dedicated GPU runs videos smoothly on full-screen.
Evan Foster
I have no problems playing videos in firefox but I prefer mpv because the picture is better with my config file. Others seem to play videos just fine aswell, which makes me think its something on your end.
Jack Smith
>implying (((Google))) doesn't deliberately reduce the performance of their sites on anything other than Chromium browsers There was an user who said switching user agent to Chrome made some sites smoother.
William Carter
you don´t have to but mpv is plain superior as a video player i´d recommend the same thing on chrome/opera/any other browser you can imagine
Lincoln Scott
Hey guys anyone experienced something like this? Woke up and now adblock pretty much blocks everything except the video
Cooper Bailey
This is a problem how?
Landon Green
>Why do I need to do all this >copy link address >mpv pasted-url so much effort i can feel your manboobs sweating
Ayden Roberts
Same for me. I watch all livestreams in Chrome
Lincoln Collins
Most of your addons are not e10s yet or too bloated
Asher Martin
That is definitely an improvement desu senpai
Connor Moore
Or...you could do it in 2 clicks
Anthony Anderson
I'm literally too stupid for some reason. >Installed Watch with MPV in ff. >Put youtube-dl.exe (yes, I'm on Windows atm) in a random folder // C:\Program Files >Right-click a youtube video > Watch with MPV >Nothing happens
Where the fuck do I read about how to make this shit work? Any user willing to help out?
Owen Perez
What do you mean random folder? It is supposed to go in your mpv folder.
Isaiah Cooper
YouTube is slow in general, it's not a Firefox only thing
Caleb Roberts
>Scrolling youtueb comments is choppy as fuck You fucking deserve it
Gabriel Bennett
i block almost everything with umatrix also: >logging on jewtube
Camden Baker
Did not know that, user. I put it in the mpv folder, right-click on a youtube video > Watch with Mpv > nothing happens.
Ugh
Adam Murphy
Did you put the path of where mpv is installed in the addon? What addon are you using? I use openwith and it works great.
Yes, I have the correct path in the addon as well. Can't figure out what else I'm missing.
Ayden Taylor
>Specify native player executable full path >full path >executable
you're pointing to the folder, not the executable.
Luis Peterson
I am not a smart man.
Thank you, user. This feels godly.
Cameron Ortiz
No prob. Just be aware that it fails without warning if it can't find a video file on shit websites.
Christian Morgan
Point taken.
I just feel weird because I couldn't find a way to figure all of this out on my own. Guess I need to work on my reading comprehension
This is a godsend for a dual-monitor setup.
Wyatt Brooks
>Full screen videos are slow as fuck use an actual media player to play media, not a web browser >Scrolling youtueb comments is choppy as fuck why on earth would you WANT to read youtube comments?
