Asmutils

Why is busybox used instead of this? 353k compared to busybox's 2mb, and still faster than busybox.

i386? Why are they still targeting platforms that old? Why not i686?(Pentium Pro or newer)

...

Assembly is cumbersome to audit and debug.

Sounds like you're just a pussy tbqh

I believe 386-class chips are still being made as embedded devices. (either standalone or integrated into other silicon) If I remember correctly, production of 80186es only stopped in 2012.

Very old and very weak silicon is common in embedded, and it lingers for a very long time.

>no blkid
>no findfs
>no udhcpd
>no udhcpc
It's shit.

>four apps nobody uses
Your shit you wigger

>no lsblk

>people are too fucking stupid to use udhcpc so they use dhclient AIDS instead
Thanks for correcting the record.
>nobody uses findfs/blkid/udhcpd
People are too fucking stupid to make their own initramfs? Color me surprised.

go use Arch somewhere else

>Look how superior I am waaa
I can't believe you're the sperm that won the race against the trillions of others the night your mum had that gang bang.

They're simple fucking tools you retards. You're like my coworker.
>dur that's above my pay grade since I'm too fucking stupid to know how to do it
>when does first shift end, I can't stand sitting here playing solitaire all day

you aren't smart just for doing something manually instead of having your distro do it for you.

Sounds like you're the office whipping boy

No, but I'm smart for having a flexible, simple system that I can make boot from RAID in an hour instead of some black box that takes a week to figure out.

Are you though? Are you really?

Probably not, but it feels good to be the big fish here.

...

Because they'd have to rewrite them for ARM and MIPS because that's where busybox is used most

but there's already toybox which is the TRUE replacement for busybox

...

>portable
>assembler

Nnnnnnnn.....No.

I think someone doesn't know what the meaning of "portable" means.

$RANDOMSOFTWARE written for $RANDOMCISC chip will not run on $RANDOMRISC chip or the other way around.

How's posix compatibility? busybox had some issues last time I checked.

Oops didn't mean to quote. Keep the (you)

Shit nigger I got excited for a minute

Yeah. But for meme minimalist musl+busybox distros, why isn't it used? Why don't you see these kinds of tools written in LLVM IR asm?
