I always liked these two since forever. I've had one or the other installed perhaps both since the 90's. Shame too because software generally has gotten worse since then imo. Linux is even all dumbed down and shitty now.

What's wrong with the stock firmware in your brain?

>any good photo viewing software ?
let me fix that for you : any good photo organizer with display on mouse over ?

On Windows, both irfanview and imageglass are good. Imageglass is a tiny bit larger than irfanview (think maybe a couple of mb), but has a much nicer ui.

On Linux, feh is good. If you don't want to use feh for whatever reason then imagemagick is decent.

:^)

>file manager built-in

useless bloat

use JPEGView instead

eye of gnome does the job

windows always has an enterprise or overly complicated and unnecessary garbage version of everything
>Tectia SSH Client
>Paragon Partition Manager
>Microsoft SQL Server
sometimes it gets a little ridiculous
anybody remember MagicISO and the likes

Not that I can't understand it, though, microsoft makes it extremely convulted to do even the simplest things

>has basic tree view
>calls it file manager
>hurrr bloat

what?

from most feature to most barebone, the one I liked:
>faststone
>JPEGView
>Honeyview
>NexusImage

>ACDSee
Tried the pirated version of this(ultimate or something), shit ran slow as balls when it tried to touch my image folder. It's decent but not for heavy image hoarders. Actually a lot of these thumbnail viewers have this very same problem. Xnview, IrfanView Thumbnails, Corel AfterShot Pro all ran slow for me. I only came across a couple that could actually load up my image folder quick as fuck even on old machines, Windows(Live if you haven't updated it) Photo Gallery for windows 7 and lower, this shit runs on magic although, this one stop being supported years ago and download will end in sometime in January. Not sure what what Win 8 and higher are using though. Another one is an open source program called Hydrus that does every fucking thing, every image file type even a few video types like mp4, webms, ect. It's only flaw is it's ran on python.

>FastStone
>it consider marking images as tagging them
>can't actually tag images
It's biggest flaw honestly.
