This site blurs the content unless you buy a premium account. I managed to remove the premium popup but I can't get ride of the blur thingy. Any ideas ?
This site blurs the content unless you buy a premium account...
filter: blur on body probably.
I think they ain't sending the real content and blurring it after, it would be too easy to bypass.
Link to the site? It'll likely be a js blur rather than CSS.
this is what I found
heysuccess.com
Try deleting the node of the ID that's causing the blur.
I'm sorry could you tell me which line
I saw one which just had a template of the page as an image that was blurred. It swapped out the actual content for the image before page rendering so you couldnt just delete the node...
Cant remember what the site was...
Holy shit, my CPU from 2008 is struggling with a website. It's truly disgusting.
>we have to stop people accessing our shit without seeing the ads
>I know, let's process a blurred image of the page and send it as a HD image 5x bigger than the actual site we're stopping them seeing
Install ublock.
Right click -> select the element you want to block, apply.
Looks like this site is a bit of an abortion, they've done a pretty hacky job but it works I guess, the site crawls on Firefox with a 2600K lmao
>Use angular they said
Yep...
I just went back to google and to the next site in the list. Fuck em.
So is there anyway to go around it ?
More trouble than it's worth.
Is there a reason you can't make an account with a temp email or something?
Have you tried buying a premium account?
I don't have the means to buy a premium account
That sounds nice, whats the tldr on this migration to ublock?
change the class where it says unregistered to registered.
I also butchered the blur shit but that was what cleared it back up.
Shit site.
I can't find the element to block
...
I am registered. I don't have a premium account
The mistake was having an account at all.
You still need to block that annoying popup and the faded background but shit works.
you're a genius thanks man
It does solve the blurring but you still can't access the content
Try a Google crawler user agent
what's that ?
Remove the filter property from the CSS for div#container
didn't work
Well that was easy
teach me your ways
All the content is still there on the page, a google crawler wouldn't have any issue seeing it since it doesn't render the content it indexes.
What's a google crawler
>2600K
>good
lol
Can you not read it out from the pic?
uBlock Origin to block the "buy our premium account, p-please" pop-up
uMatrix to block everything irrelevant to browsing a basic site like this, where you don't need any html5 players and whatever other hijinks.
Just enable all heysuccess.com shit except XHR by clicking where this pic shows (blue areas)
(basically learn how to use uMatrix)
>teach me your ways
He literally showed you his preset.
Well I didn't know umatrix so there's that
No, I prefer to do it manually one by one as needed
Now the search doesn't work
Well? Experiment with it until it works the way you want it to.
enable and disable random shit until success
And I thought you were a genius
Oh I'm sorry for solving the problem that you posted, next time I won't bother.
Gentoo doesn't have this problem by the way, (You) should install that.
haha.
Thank you for solving the problem. I didn't mean to be mean or anything
Install gentoo
