no lol i think i can just change the name of my pc

They can see what IP sent them, you fucking retard

its only a basic shitty home printer

Print a cryptoware demand

At my uni, every single printer has its own public IP address. No NAT, no firewall, nothing. You can install the printer from any computer on the internet, and can anonymize yourself using any method you want. Not like it matters, what are they going to do when they find out that some unknown Comcast user printed to their printer? They can either ban all Comcast IPs from their network, or they can just implement a firewall. One option would be stupid, and they apparently have no interest in the other option.

Here's a Google search that returns unprotected printers on MIT's network. It's really not hard to find unprotected printers.

KEK gonna print this

Your uni cannot afford any actual network admins who know what they're doing?

this retard doesn't know about AD group policies

I'll stay away from posting about my own uni. The MIT search posted above has 146 results.

Here's a search for all American universities:

google.com/search?q=inurl:edu/hp/device/this.LCDispatcher

I'm seeing ~4700 unprotected printers on American university networks. And those are only printers that are a specific brand (HP) AND have been assigned .edu hostnames AND have been indexed by Google, which can be assumed to be a tiny fraction of the total.

Why don't we ask OP to post the IP addresses of all his uni's printers? Or we could move on to unprotected webcams. Here's a webcam watching some guy at his computer:

My point is that unsecured network devices are a dime a dozen and they're not that interesting.

It's probably just spooled and you will need to login and push that document via your student credits

That screenshot is Windows 8

this. every uni uses a print release system

print this

Print Aphex.

samiz.dat

Print this you fucking pussy: my.mixtape.moe/mildpb.jpg

Nothing because the sysadmin will find out you've been up to some shit and then your ass is grass.
