for me though, what made me finally realize what i was doing was wrong was online gaming. I always found it so difficult to walk away from online games, as who just wants to stop mid-session? so for a while i played single player games only

then after some more months had passed, I realized that even then video games were still a burden, as i had to go out of my way to make time, in order to waste it. what the fuck was i thinking?

Like anything, don't expect to just suddenly stop. Ease into letting go, take baby steps. I found it difficult too, believe me. This isn't about how you shouldn't have things you like, its about how you shouldn't let material things own you. If you have the self discipline, by all means continue to. However, if you fit the demographic of what I assume to be the majority of users on this site (young, single men), then what the fuck are you doing playing games? Even being on Sup Forums is better, as at least here we talk to each other.
