My dream is to create the next Flappy Bird aka a simple game which will get me millions!
Problem is, I'm a tech illiterate. I know absolutely nothing about computers but I'm very creative and I always achieve my goals in one way or another! My questions are; how can I start this project? Which programming language should I learn? Do you think that this goal is realistic for someone like me?
You need to kill yourself to reach enlightenment in order to gain the knowledge you need.
No need for thanks we will meet in another life friend.
Asher Bell
You should find another guy for the technical side.
You do the design, he does the code.
And you probably need another guy, one who's good with marketing.
William Cook
You sound like a pretentious faggot to be honest. Nobody gives a shit that you're from a shit country, and being a lazy person with no skills that dreams to become rich is literally the most common thing there is. If you really were determined to do this you would be doing your own research and learning instead of asking here like a retard.
Colton Perry
Sure is India in here.
Nolan Lopez
Wow! How did you know?
I'm already dead.
>Pretentious
How so? Explain please :^)
>Nobody gives a shit that you're from a shit country
Just wanted to say that in case somebody were to shit on me because of my poor writing skills.
>a lazy person with no skills
I'm a sous chef working at a luxury Hotel in Mumbai :^) Lazy isn't a good adjective to describe me!
I just want to spend my free time productively by learning how to make a game that could potentially get me millions. Just wanna to give it a go and see what happens.
>determined to do this you would be doing your own research and learning
That's why I came here to ask you guys! I need some guidance after all!
Luke Nelson
The ded cannot type fag
Dominic Cruz
>tfw you will never have a cute girlfriend >why live
Jaxson Davis
Kill yourself, as if it's hard to get started on learning programming, that's literally the most covered topic the entire internet. The only thing you are, is an ambitious retard, and there are too many shitheads like you >Sage the shit out of this post >Pic related, is OP

>I'm a slave at some sand hotel, I'm not lazy
The only reason why you're not lazy is because your owners don't let you.
Mason Moore
Why are you all so autistic? Is it because you are fat, ugly and sit on your computers all day?
No offense
John Watson

Ue4 There you go. I'm actually launching a new game with it today funnily enough.
Brayden Perry
You are scum, everybody you love is scum, everybody who loves you is scum, and your mother should have been aborted well in advance for the horrendous crime of birthing you.
Totally an offence.
Sebastian Sullivan
fucking savage, he's probably on suicide watch at this moment
Brandon Lewis
>Do you think that this goal is realistic for someone like me? I'm genuinely alarmed by these kinds of questions. Are you a masochist or do you just have a cringe-inducing lack of any self-awareness?
I get through the day by just telling myself that no, there's just some neckbeard on the other side of this, it's okay, nobody's this stupid.
Ian Powell
I hope they tell him I'm probably right.
Jackson Gonzalez
>My dream is to create the next Flappy Bird aka a simple game which will get me millions You can dream to win in the lottery as well. You'll never know what will bomb next.
Grayson Jenkins
Muslims. WHat did I win?

So you want to learn programming?
Pick a starting language. For beginners, there are generally two recommended "programming families" that you can choose to start learning: -Dynamically typed/interpreted programming languages, such as: Python, Perl, Ruby -Statically typed/compiled programming languages, such as: C, C++, C#
These are amongst the most popular languages in use worldwide, including 4 from the top 5. Both approaches are perfectly fine, and well-documented. -Dynamically typed programming may be a bit more flexible, convenient, and forgiving. It is more popular in academia. -Statically typed programming is a bit more suited for making general applications. It is more popular in industries.
Cannot decide? Flip a coin.
If you choose statically typed/compiled programming, you may want to start with C, then pick up C++. C is very well documented, and teaches many universal programming concepts. C++ is based on C, and adds new concepts. Sources: For C: The C Programming Language (K&R) C Primer Plus (Prata) cprogramming.com/tutorial/c-tutorial.html learn-c.org/
If you choose dynamically typed/interpreted programming, you may want to start with Python. It is very easy to pick up. Here are some good sources: learnpython.org/ codecademy.com/en/tracks/python
>BUT I WANNA START WITH [language x] INSTEAD! Sure, if you like. But the languages above are considered good for beginners.
>BUT I WANNA MAKE A COOL WEBSITE! Learn HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
>BUT I WANNA MAKE iPHONE GAMES! Learn Objective C and/or Swift.
>BUT I WANNA MAKE ANDROID GAMES! Learn Java.
>BUT I WANNA MAKE PC GAMES! Learn patience.

kys, you filthy jew. Your kind needs to be wiped out. Not a single Jew cell must survive on this planet. Hitler did nothing wrong with burning you to ashes.
Anthony Williams
Even if you can write the software, the chance to make a living off of video games is not great.
Robert Moore
I doubt you're really Indian or interested in anything Sup Forums related but you're still just a shitposting nigger. Fuck off to Sup Forums or some other shit board.

Easy, get a rope and end yourself, retard.

>My dream is to create the next Flappy Bird k >aka a simple game which will get me millions! sounds reasonable, if you know how to wing some good shit. people ARE retarded, after all
>Problem is And here we go... >I'm a tech illiterate. I know absolutely nothing about computers Then you have 2 options: give up, or learn about computers. >but I'm very creative ... But are you also very logical? Because that is far more important here. We machines, bitch. >and I always achieve my goals in one way or another! .... Just that.
>My questions are; how can I start this project? Learn how programming works, lose your shit for a few weeks as you complain that you can't get a compiler to run properly. Probably get a few viruses downloading hacked shit off CNet thinking that's how to go about it. Complain more on Sup Forums. Get depressed. Read an actual guide in your depression. Realize it's not that fucking simple, Mr. "Ideas Guy". Try to git good. At this point, you will branch in one of 2 ways: >>Realize this isn't for you >>Actually start to like programming whether or not you'll be making this app anytime soon
>Which programming language should I learn? Literally: C. Or C++. If you want to make apps for phones, there is no other valid language to use. Unless you're a retard and gonna make apps that only run on Windows Phone. In which case, C#. Or Visual BASIC, if you're totally fucking stupid as shit and beyond saving.
>Do you think that this goal is realistic >>create the next Flappy Bird >>simple game which will get me millions! No, not really. Though not a guaranteed failure >for someone like me? Definitely not.
Jose Jones
No, dude. You're right about a lot of what you said, but don't suggest fucking Meme Books. K&R is NOT recommended.
Just get C or C++ from the For Dummies collection. They are concise and get you into it immediately.
Jason Morris
What are good books for C# specifically? Not OP btw.
Ayden Evans
2d games after 1995 are memes with one success for every 10,000 miserable failures

It's not even the programming that makes a game popular. How good are you a making sprites. Making a game pretty is more important to how it's coded in this case.
David Sanders
How many dicks has she sucked?
This.
Coding a game is piss easy. What really matters is how you design the gameplay and art.
Jose Ross
You don't even have a game idea you want to implement. Fuck off mate.
Gabriel Myers
>literally a pajeet You can't make this shit up.
