freedom isn't free

you're on Sup Forums, you're supposed to like that shit

>be too dumb to use a package manager
>vent frustration by being a shitty frogposter on Sup Forums instead of reading a manual.

I keep telling people about this meme. If you want an actual alternative to Windows try a mac. It's basically what Linux should've been plus purchase costs.

>vent frustration by being a shitty frogposter on Sup Forums instead of reading a manual.
>reading a manual

Thank you freetard I only needed to read a fucking manual instead of it just working like every other OS, I sure feel stupid now.

Linux mint up and running very easily.

I don't think any of this story is true, OP.

Enjoy your frogposts.

All of it is true and I will switch back to windows this very day but to be fair the worst of it was the 8 hours it took dban to clean the harddrive.

Thanks for letting me know

pics or it didn't happen

You don't need to run dban to go from Win to Linux you fool

I wanted to delete all the traces of the botnet.

Still waiting.

>can`t
can't
Learn to use a computer, dumb winbabby

>runs dban to get rid of botnet
>returns to botnet
op, you are a fucking failure and should kys

Fuck off, I started using a foreign keyboard environment that is more suited for programming and now I have a bit of a problem finding the right keys for some symbols.

Kill yourself ebonics user.

Lol okay parjeet

dumb frogposter

>can`t just download files and install them
>what are package files
>what are tarballs

Just keep wasting your useless life and donate to FOSS

>it just working like every other OS

You just call yourself a retard. Linux is not for you. Fuck off!

>can't program drivers

OP, you did it wrong.

Start with a distro that comes "out of the box" to get a soft entry. Youc an still fall for the "install gentoo" meme later..

>install Mint with Cinammon
>all codecs included
>everything just werks
>feels good man

Also:
>super intuitive, never had to google anything
>you can just download files, wether they are xy-tarballs or debian packages, they just get installed
>everything is tidy, browse throw software center to see new things every day ("oh cool, why not trying inkscape?")

That said you should ONCE google a "first things to do after installing linux [your distro]" and maybe edit some settings according to the website. Took me about 2 minutes for mint..

>> takes hours to learn how to install video drivers

Sudo pacman -S nvidia

Are you a retard op?

Explain to me how windows tells you how to install programs?

my first linux distro was fucking Arch
you're probably complaining about some 1 click ubuntu install
read the wiki wincuck

You should feel stupid

Been using Macbook Pro for a year and its been wonderful. It lets me do everything I've grown accustomed pn Linux and still has default shit that just works

I used debian. I needed to add nomodeset in the boot config to even boot the distro. The terminal didn't respond to anything and didn't know any commands too.

Debian is the distro Linus himself said was hard to install, 2007 interview, referred to in youtube.com/embed/qHGTs1NSB1s?
Ubuntu was made because Debian sucks for desktop.
Install Ubuntu LTS or openSUSE.

Is it me or are there a lot of omggg linux suxx threads lately?
More newbs trying out Linux?
More Microsoft shills?

Why didn't you just install Solus?
It just werks otb with no issues at all.

I've installed it for my tech illiterate mother and she picked it up fairly quickly

good goyim

>Sudo
>S

You just made a huge gamble op. Why would you get rid of windows? There's practically no reason to jot dual boot while learning.

T H I S.

In hindsight this might have been pretty smart. This might even make me try out linux again, this time purely out of wanting to learn instead of wanting a functional OS.

Rly made me think.

Really opens up your chakra gates, am I right?

>Reading a manual
>Any year

If your software is not self-explanatory with logical interface that people can follow through, you failed miserably and have a bad product.

This is marketing and design 101.

You have to go back.

that's how you spot a phone shitposter.

>Takes hours to install drivers
Should have picked manjaro. You can do this automatically at install

Skylake ?
