Which is a shame, nowadays the only laptops are shitty paper thin "Ultrabooks" and xbox hueg gamin laptops unless you want to spend $2000 minimum.
Can't really think of anything that'd require insane CPU speeds nowadays.
I can run 3 VMs with a Broadwell dual cores just fine
If you're doing insane computations or whatever it'd probably make more sense to build a way more powerful desktop or just use a compute server at work/school
