Name laptop with the following requirements (not a Macbook):

* Full metal aluminium body
* Sexy thin
* Processor: i5 latest gen AND quad-core (no dual-core bullshit)
* Storage >= 500GB - ONLY SSD
* RAM: 16GB DDR4
* Resolution >= 1440p
* Runs Arch Linux flawlessly

I don't care how much it costs. I don't give a shit about graphics. Manufacturers are really missing out on a huge number of developers who'll love this configuration.

XPS 13 Kabylake.
Here's your (you), treasure it, its the last one you'll ever get shitposter.

Hunnnghhhhhh the UX390 looks sexy beautiful. Thanks man. Any idea how well it works with Linux (Arch in particular).

The XPS13 doesnt have quad core

In fact I can think of no 13 inch laptop that comes with a quad core (barring some Alienware monstrosities I guess)

Which is a shame, nowadays the only laptops are shitty paper thin "Ultrabooks" and xbox hueg gamin laptops unless you want to spend $2000 minimum.

Can't really think of anything that'd require insane CPU speeds nowadays.

I can run 3 VMs with a Broadwell dual cores just fine

If you're doing insane computations or whatever it'd probably make more sense to build a way more powerful desktop or just use a compute server at work/school

I want a 13" laptop that can game but that will never happen

Razer blade

Any old Intel CPU >= i5 and younger than 2012 will have no problem with most games

The problem is the GPU which still produces insane heat and can't be crammed into tight space like the CPU

What use case scenario does a 13" gaming laptop have

XPS 15 I think has a quad-core option.

> Arch Linux
> a huge number of developers
LOL, funny!

There are no Kaby lake quad core CPUs out yet

Alienware did just come out with a quad-core 13-incher.

I'm on the move often but I like vidya?

that's what always trips me up, the GPU. Most laptops have integrated grafix

>* Processor: i5 latest gen AND quad-core (no dual-core bullshit)
This pretty much disqualifies everything on the market right now as we won't see any chips that fill these requirements until next year.

>I'm on the move often but I like vidya?
Do you play vidya on the move though?

thinkpad t420
because fuck you

>Acer SWIFT 5/7
>XPS 13/15 (15 feels like 14")
>xiaomi notebook air 13 (it's FHD but at that screen size 4K is a meme anyway)
I'm personally getting the swift 5 with a i7 because muh connectors. The swift 7 is thunderbolt 3 compatible I think if you're into that.

What do you mean? I don't really have a "home" but I play vidya whenever I get the chance. I use an xbone controller.

>I was just pretending that I'm retarded
but you're still retarded

What do you guys think about this one?

Sorry, but it's a german site (Tuxedo computers (Schenker notebooks / XMG))

- 15.6" 1080p IPS non-glare display
- different case and a bit thicker (not passively cooled and more I/O), still sexy imo
- 7200U (2C4T) or 7500U (4C4T)
- up to 32GB RAM
- customizable storage
- comes with either no OS, several Linux distros or Windows 7/10
- customizable keyboard layout (backlit) with a tux icon on the super key

Please no meme answers, this is an honest question.

Leveno laptops retard.

Check out the Xiaomi Mi Air, I just got it and it's amazing for the price.

Also the GTX 940 means it can run games decently, not the latest ones though but it can game.

>not a Macbook
yeah because macbooks don't have latest gen i5
t. oldass macbook owner

Airport lounge or a hotel room.

>thin
why? do you want to cut cheese with it?

Oh shit that actually looks good, but I have no experience with Xiaomi.

Is the build quality good? and what is the battery life like

We don't think anything about this, faggot. Get a THINKPAD 420!

>lenovo

I want paid Xiaomi shills to leave.

Isn't that a plastic body, though?
