amazon.com

its just a meme
they get off on flaunting the rules when this nigger tier shit is obviously /fa/
that case is awful
Reposting this for the others, as it's an interestibg question:
---- Fellas :
How do you rotate your watches? Do you have a daily beater that you change every month? Or do you change everyday? Or... etc
Please give the reason why.
Buy a158 and a f-91w and wear the a158 only on weekends
>when this nigger tier shit is obviously /fa/
WRONG!!!!
/fa/ doesnt give a fuck if the watch is mechanical or not
fashion watches are our n1 enemy
I wear whatever the fuck I want.
How many color variations of the early Vostok Neptunes are there?
the a168 and the b640 are much better
Sorry, I did see your post but I wasn't in love with it. Considering something like an Alpha speedy? Anyone had any dealings with those?
It's a remake of the original tuning fork Bulova Moonwatch worn by Dave Scott on Apollo 15.
I think it's quite cool personally.
Your wrong then
You might as well just get a fake omega if you are looking at alpha :^)
Thank you for your opinion friend
you're welcome buddy
Really? Are they that bad?
>
It's useful when u go pee.
Well you're a homosexual then kid.
t. other user
fuk dat
technology is about convinience and developement
mechanical watch people should go back to the 60s
I'm looking to get a casual watch. Everything leads me back to the Sarb035, but I'm just not in love with it. Also considering srp773, but I already have too many divers.
Get a Casio MQ-24
I should say I'm looking for a nice watch as well.
a158
I think he meant something that isn't made out of plastic.
Either way, consider the 033 or the SDGM line.
>automatic mechanical
>at least 10 bar
>below $150
>decent looking
is this even possible
Depends on what style of watch you're looking for.
You used to be able to get an SKX for 150. You could go for that if you're willing to bump up in price.
Otherwise, Seiko Sea Urchin probably.
help :(
Its kills me that this watch is so large.
If they made a 42mm or below version I would be all over it.
There are 4
I've seen more than 4 though
I would just google it, but I can't find a lot of info on them because im dum
Orient Mako one or two
Yeah 45mm is a bit large. How big is the Omega motm?
snzg is one
I don't know why, but I really the aesthetic of this one. I'm tempted. Fuck.
Don't do it. Buy similar for
reminds me of that one openworked watch i saw a while ago, with numerals part of the structure as well. but i don't remember who made it. i thought it was an ap millenary but it's not.
this one just feels lazy though.
vostok amphibia
You get a used Speedmaster Automatic/Reduced for
Of my 6 watches: I rotate a different watch daily on the weekdays. I wear my diver in the evenings after work (unless I'm going to a social event). I wear whatever strikes the mood/appropriate for the activity I'm planning to do during the weekend.
On a vintage kick today.
>get one of these cheap day-date MTP Casios
>swap the flat mineral crystal out for a high-domed acrylic to look like an early Japanese quartz watch from the 70's
>put a leather strap on it
Give me one reason why I shouldn't do this.
Because you could get an actual Japanese quartz watch from the 70s without going through all that stupid effort
...
>What to do if you want a speedmaster homage?
Apply yourself and get the real thing
Even if you buy new it's only around 3k
>More than he makes in three months.
>3k for a watch
even if it lasts your whole lifetime (lets say 60 years onwards)
thats 50 per year
meanwhile a f-91w lasts it's battery life 7 years
the f-91w is 10 bucks, that means about 1,5 bucks per year
Some people do not live on the streets and can afford 50 per year "translated".
If you have surplus cash for a speedy after three months, it's not really a big deal
>thats 50 per year
Make it a hundred with service averaged out
wow, a decent dinner in town
Go for it, there's one with an angular case that looks kinda like a penis quartz
Which one? Pic is kinda 70's too.
If you make 1k per month and buy a 3k watch you're making some poor life decisions.
I think he means that you could have $1000 lying around after all of your actual monetary commitments. Like if you make 5k a month, if you live sparingly in other aspects of your life you could save 3k easily.
Whats a really basic/clean watch that doesn't cost a shitton?
Something like pic related, but that the price reflects it's worth not this overpriced piece of shit
>a shitton
define
There's a little Archie in everyone, user.
These are nice, why don't we ever see these in the watch thread?
Like 50€ max. But optimally around 30 € or less.
I don't have it in me to post this in every thread, and honestly it really isn't humorous to me anymore, but I still lurk because watches are cool
but since you summoned me, here goes
>tfw too intelligent to spend over $350 on a watch
>tfw too intelligent for diminishing returns
Because at the price of the cheapest decent/jap quartz chronograph you could already buy a jap automatic or a Vostok.
This is the best watch thread with so many nice watches
The watch is cool, but that strap is awful
Just get a chinese watch that looks cool if you want a fossil.
Just get a chinese fake Daniel Wellington. It has a justified price, looks pretty much exactly the same and usually have just as good quality movement.
At least there is nothing wrong with owning a Seiko Quartz because it's a Seiko invention.
I have a fake dw, I'm okay with it but I am irritated that I see some minor smudges on the white if I look really closely.
I wan't something like it but that it's not chink shit
What was your $350 marvel?
Not exactly a Seiko invention, quartz clocks have been around since the late 20's, Seiko was just the first one develop a viable quartz wristwatch.
>when your best internet friends make a foolish decision and fall for the trap of diminishing returns
>diminishing returns
1 seiko
2 seikos
3 seikos
A Nomos watch
wait why are chinks allowed to sell fake nomos watches but not allowed to sell fake dw watches on aliexpress?
Am I missing something?
Better quality fakes
Fellas
I am a bit of a watch guy, I have a small Seiko 5 collection, a nice Tisell flieger, a Speedy and a GMT Master II.
My employer has noticed I enjoy watches and has decided to gift me an Apple Watch for Christmas.
I really have no desire to own or wear a smart watch, however, I don't want to seem like an unappreciative dick. To be honest, I would have no problem regifting this to someone who would really love, appreciate and enjoy the Apple Watch. In fact, it would make me happy seeing someone enjoy it and get the best possible use out of it. However, if I regift it my employer will notice I never wear it at work.
What to do with this dilemma bros?
Start a passive aggressive gifting war of course, find something he loves and then buy a shitty version of that for him.
Or you know just wear the fucking thing for a couple of months and then accidentally break it.
Use it for work. Be pragmatic, let it be one of your main watches in rotation as long as you work there. Be appreciative, with friends you can take the risk and be awkward, but when it comes to work and money then be pragmatic and just eat the frog.
One good thing about it and a little psychological quirk is that people who give YOU gifts are more likely to do you favors in the future as well. I know there has been experiments that have shown this, I have no idea why. But I assume that when people give something or do someone a favor then they see themselves as someone who do favors to that person. Even when it's a small little thing they might think "I must like that guy since I gave him stuff or did this favor" even if it's a perfect stranger. So making it a watch in your regular rotation especially to meetings and so on is a good thing.
Don't break it like this guy says. Your boss wanted to give you a nice watch, it is difficult to buy something to a connoisseur like yourself.
Your boss don't have refined taste of a watch feinschmecker so that he could get you a decently priced, but excellent watch. So he just got an expensive one that he have heard about. Appreciate the gesture, it's polite and who knows, the watch might have some fun functionality that you like.
I would not get it myself, I would also not run windows on my machine. But work is work and business is business. They don't pay you money because it's easy.
First 2 are an SARG007 and SARG005 respectively
As far as I know it's a refurbished 4205, the seller put a domed crystal on it and I think the movement is the original movement but it feels like it was serviced or just lubed a but. For $55 shipped from the Philippines it was worth it. Sometimes it seems like it runs a tiny tiny bit fast but it's about as accurate as any of the other watches pictured.
Better solution than the SKX013 so long as it keeps running
This guy is very smart. Also the Apple Watch is pretty useful even if it's ugly. My wife loves hers.
See, this is why I insulted my manager's apple watch the first time I saw it.
SRPA25J1
Thank you sir. I appreciate your well thought out response.
model?
;-;
What about rodinas if you want a bauhaus style watch a.co
The apple watch has a shit ton of functions, so if you ever find a moment where it's more useful, just use it.
Be thankful your employer gives you shit, my employers hates me and I work my ass off for shit.
The invicta sub fake is 57 bucks for some reason:
Actually a slightly good deal, considering the bracelet is kinda like a vintage sub and it has a 4R movement.
I'd actually consider it, if it didn't have the logo plastered all over
Mod it to your liking.
>Your wrong then
>Your wrong

This. I just watched 2 decent condition used Nomos Clubs sold for under $750 each on Ebay, which is very reasonable for what you get. Shouldn't be too hard to find another one.
Just bought this
Hopefully I didn't cuck myself out of 20 bucks
Nah, he just has a milder degree of autism than everyone else here.
Wasn't that the watch with the bracelet made out of folded sheet metal?
Nah it's steel
Folded, but so were the original jubilles
Do you guys know if there's any RPN calculator watches?
MOTFM is 42mm
that 45mm is measured with the pushers. the lug to lug is the same as a SNZG15
you can get a fake nomos off aliexpress. Got mine for like 5 bucks each.
