What's the best browser currently? I've doing some research and apparently Chrome is king. Is this correct?

Nik's Chromium build

...

>chrome is king

This place makes me cringe every fucking day

"kys" weeb wordfilter when?

Chromium or kys

not an argument

Firefox Nightly

/thread

Okay then smartass, what do you want me to say or do? Show you all the easily-googleable benchmark articles? Redundantly argue muh privacy? Come on, I'm interested.

I've been using Firefox for the last 3~4 years, decided to try And holy shit, Chromium is fast
I'm impressed

The only shit thing is that I don't want to go back to Chrome on Android, not being able to install ublock is a deal breaker, and I really enjoy being able to have quick access to the tabs I have open on one device on the other
Guess I'll use both

Went through most browsers recently, chromium is still king.

If you're rooted download AdAway. If not then use one of those DNS-based ad blockers on the play store.

I still use firefox, with classic theme restore and other stuff to make it basically the same that it's always been.

Not rooted

Will try one of those, thanks for the tip user

Also, anyone tried the Chromium build from F-Droid I think?

The absolute best browser on mobile is yubrowser or tugabrowser.
They're both forks of chromium, but they're optimized for snapdragon devices.
If you do have a snapdragon phone, I would highly recommend checking out those two.

And can they sync with google's account, like chrome?
It would be a dream... I'm gonna try YuBrowser, I have a Moto X 2014

Also, what about naked browser?

Pale Moon with Reinheit is comfy as fuck.

Where do I download this one? Fed up with Firefox being a slow piece of shit

Haven't tried sync since I don't use chrome on any of my computer's, but it does have an option to sign in, so I think it's safe to assume it does sync.

Naked browser is a meme with an ugly interface and it isn't even open source. The only thing it has going for it is that it's really small.

Also, I've got a Moto x pure edition. Sad to hear you guys won't be getting nougat officially :(

henrypp.org/product/chrlauncher

Install with Henry's chrlauncher
This way you will have an always updated Chromium

Yeah I saw that on the screenshots on Google Play
Already installing it, thanks for the tip!

And yes, kinda sad
I love my Moto X, I have a little battery problem ever since the 6.0 update (the smartphone turns off out of nowhere with 20% battery or less, when using high resources apps), but I still don't feel the need to upgrade it

Try rooting it and flashing CyanogenMod. You'll lose the Moto features but there are some substitutes and you'll also get nougat.

>Show you all the easily-googleable benchmark articles?
holy shit you are so fucking retarded you stupid fucking monkey half human

chromium is so much fucking faster it's retarded. it's obvious you've never used anything other than SJW fox and are mentally ill like its developers.

have fun with your 0.5s increase in startup time and 70mb less of ram when you have 60 tabs of anime porn open, faggot shitkid

I'll enjoy my HTML5 canvas and video performance which OBLITERATES firefox in all tests on YouTube streaming sites and any updated website with lots of javascript other than Richard Stallman's text only blog that you jerk off to every morning

>watching videos in the browser
>browsing sites that use lots of useless javascript
nah man
nah
using chrome because it's better at those things only enables idiot webdevs to continue bloating the web, and I refuse to be a part of that even if it's a losing battle

>using chrome because it's better
>I refuse
ok

Better at specific things I have no use for and don't want to support.
The actual behavior and interface of my browser is more important to me (and I don't mean aesthetically).

Firefox Developer version (running in Firejail) is the best one I've found because of e10s. wiki.mozilla.org/Electrolysis#Overview

If you run FF or any derivative like IceCat or whatever you absolutely want Firejail with it, or Mbox pdos.csail.mit.edu/archive/mbox/ which uses ptrace and might make it slower though.

If you're a Winfag there's sandboxie plus EMET sandboxie.com/

Sad thing is v27 broke so many addons most users stayed with 26 or moved to other browses.

I use a mixture of Chrome and I.E. I would say 80% Chrome usage.

>apparently Chrome is king. Is this correct?
no, your're a retard however.

chrome doesn't even allow plugs to manage local storage which means you have no easy way to whitelist/blacklist sites so you'll always be tracked even if you delete cookies.

fuck jewgle, fuck chrome.

>I have a little battery problem ever since the 6.0 update (the smartphone turns off out of nowhere with 20% battery or less, when using high resources apps)
Have this as well on my 2014 Moto X.
My OP3T is coming in next month though so eh.

what about brave?

Fuck i agree with you

...

What other good Firefox forks are there?

What the hell? I was arguing for Chromium in the first place; perhaps you should improve your charming D-grade English, re-read the replies leading up to my last post, then sit and reflect on your worthless existence.

>Firefox nightly
why? what makes it better than just the stable Firefox?

It gets newer features early.
For example it had e10s enabled for months before regular Firefox. It already has the first of many quantum updates which also speed things up a bit.

On top of that there are no restrictions in it. On regular Firefox you can no longer install unsigned extensions even with the about:config tweak, but you can still do that in nightly.

Lastly, and also the most important, is that nightly has the coolest looking icon so you should use it.

chromium.woolyss.com
I think it's the first or second one, there's installer and portable options, and with/without WebRTC and other shit

Yeah highly recommend

Iridium, as fast as any Chromium-based browser with reasonable amounts of botnet removed. Alternatively .

Naked Browser for mobile, everything else is a pile of shit. Yes, even Lightning, it really fucking shows it's developed by a single person.

>Naked Browser
