What are you trying to avoid?
If you simply want to use insecure public networks safely, anything at all will do (why not set up your own openvpn instance on a DO droplet...)
If you're just trying to torrent with impunity, anything outside of the jurisdiction of your country will be fine.
If you are trying to evade a competent government, please don't kind yourself into thinking you can do so with some "anonymous", "no-log" third party service. If you're serious, you would need to go full-on Snowden-level paranoid. Certainly don't do anything from a connection tied to your name, VPN or no VPN. Use public wi-fi, etc etc
