At this point YouTube is so ubiquitous and popular it is literally 'too big to fail'. Any YouTube competitor won't gain the critical mass of users and will slowly die off.
The only video hosting services which survive are those that cater to niche audiences/users, such as vimeo for visual artists.

On Amazon it ranges from 170$ to a whopping 916$, so I'm gonna go ahead and assume that the version I was thinking of hasn't been released or given a price yet. Be on the lookout during Q1 2017, though.
