I'm moving away from fedora to kubuntu or lubuntu.

Mind boggling.

Care to elaborate?
I really want to like Debian over Fedora or CentOS, but Debian is too outdated for me on my desktop (muh gaymes) and Gnome on Fedora seems more polished. I like Debian's defaults for servers, but the 10 year LTS on CentOS is jut too good.

>when the connection doesn't drop, the computer freezes indefinitely >when the computer freezes, it loses the system bootorder It's pretty hellish. I just want this image to finish so I can have another option.
It may be faster to just install win8 to download and burn this stuff then start all this. But I must suffer...
