What's with the Deus Ex controller? Only a low-poly cyborg hand would be comfortable with that shit.
there's a guy out there with really weirdly shaped hands who'll be very happy about this.
fucking ugly
never buying this
just get a 4k roku
>Original shield
Great concept, future revisions could put more emphasis on running games locally.
>Shield tablet
Ok I guess, if you primarily want to use it in your house it's nice because you can use the tablet standalone
>Shield console
Literally why.
Huh, who's the market for this?
Is it a good streaming machine, like for my desk to my 4k tv?
I don't see any other possibility
The Shield TV has high performance gaming capabilities. It's rated by FutureMark benchmarks as officially the most powerful Android device in existence and the most powerful device running a mobile OS.
Reminder that shilling without disclosing your financial relationship with whomever you are advertising for is against the law
but what about non-android games?
Who is shilling what?
I could use a new tablet
This is a TV set top box.
it can run Dolphin reasonably and emulate everything else near flawlessly
Nvidia specific games, like Warband, Half-life 2, and Portal work great
>android got Warband almost 3 years before consoles
lmao
B-BUT MUH CORE I7 APPLE A10
why the fuck they keep releasing this shit
no one wants it ffs
what exactly is a Shield?
is it literally just Nvidia's Ouya, i.e., Android+ARM garbage plus their off-brand controller?
pretty much.. I wouldn’t mind having one to use on my main entertainment system to stream shit from my plex media server.
Specs? I've always been wanting to get a one for emulation
Is this at all a better solution than just running an HDMI cable from my computer to my TV and using a controller to play games? I mean, I get it, sometimes you wanna just relax in bed and play some racing games or some shit and not be in a computer chair, but how is this better?
I think the point is that you can also stream stuff from any PC across the house to your TV too?
But it's almost like colocating another, very shitty PC next to the TV anyway.
