Google Home is so much better than Alexa
Its useful if you find uses for it.
Its in my kitchen atm and i use it to play music, find songs by lyrics, set timers and alarms, turn on and off lights, turn on my tv, change the channel or volume, and find out the weather.
Its uses are still a bit limited and idk if the price is worth it. I wouldnt call it a gimic tho.

I do the same. I also tell her add things on the shopping list and play music from Amazon Prime and my Audible audio books. Plus you can stream your pirated music and books from your computer to it via Bluetooth. The shopping list can be viewed on your phone with the app.
