Yes, Apple became a meme after jobs died.

Yes. He's to Apple what Ballmer was to Microsoft.... just another beancounter trying to "optimize" creativity.

I think he will be fired this year because Apple's not doing well.

I honestly hope he's fired. I don't even like Cook as a person, he seems like walking corporate slime. No creativity, just doing the bare minimum to keep the cash flowing in.

nice repeating digits.

and that's not necessarily the case. the ceo's only job is to answer to shareholders, and $AAPL has only risen in value since the loss of jobs. sales are through the roof because of the normie adoption. apple is cutting off the people who buy a pc and don't give apple any money for the next 8 years because they just upgrade it. by getting the normie market that is willing to upgrade every two to three years they are ensuring they will have positive cash flow.

financially no
creatively yes

but even iphone sales are beginning to drop now, the 7 is considered a flop and many top execs have taken a hit in perfomance-based bonuses.

I would say creativity and money wise they have been susceptible to losing money.

Everyone in this thread that has defended them does not realize Apple has been raising the prices of their products and introducing new ones in order to hide the fact they are losing money.

Ever since Steve Jobs passed it has created loyalty because Microsoft was so awful with Windows 8. But Windows 10 is around and it is a lot better OS wise to the point where even OSX is starting to look old and out of ideas. To where Apple people are shifting towards Microsoft slowly.

Tim Cook is not the answer he lacks creativity and vision. He is missing the artistic side of Apples DNA that use to bring people to want an Apple product in the first place.

I predict Tim Cook will be gone this year or the next.

>their products are selling better than ever

Nah as long as people believe Apple is a super special company that cares and makes magic happen and they can feel superior for using their products they'll be just fine.

It doesn't help that for the past decade or more the best competing companies can come up with are exact copies of Apple's marketing material, designs, and features, even going so far as to make their own dedicated fucking stores just like Apple's.

Even when someone else completelt one-up's Apple, the general public will ignore it until Apple makes their own version. Perfect example being the Microsoft Surface line.

Yes, and thank god.

Is that even a question? I thought it was just a known fact at this point.

Yes and that's why he is gettting cut 15%.

>windows 10 is so great even osx is starting to look old

Nah osx still looks and feels "nice." It's all in the very minor details. The way windows open and close, the notification noises, the consistency of the gui. They're doing a lot of stupid shit with hardware and with iOS on phones, but windows 10 still feels like a mess of conflicting design concepts and ideas. like the people working on it had zero interaction with eachother from opposite sides of the globe (which may actually be very accurate.)

I don't personally care for OSX but I can appreciate the attention to detail they've managed to consistently keep up on over the years.
There's a reason graphic design pukes love Apple stuff so much: because it's a textbook example on how to do their jobs.

>>their products are selling better than ever
except they're not

This, Apple would never be great again anyways.
The quicker Apple dies the sooner we can get more community support for macOS and don't have to worry about Apple screwing up the OS and developers not supporting the older better versions.

They both are a fucking mess. Windows in just good for work and games, macOS is a good portable browsing and social OS.

I'm really pissed with both.

jony ive is. tim cook just helps him. they need a new jobs-like dictator running shit, not that faglord cook

It's too late if you ask me

Yeah, Apple isn't trying to satisfy anyone anymore, just to make lots of cash

The "just werks" part was a real thing, now you gotta buy a dongle to connect their airpods to charge with your laptop, kek

What would happen to macOS if Apple goes bankrupt? Will they release it or sell it? If they sell, then any company could buy it and change the licence?

yes

Apple is slowly destroying the cult that surrounds it by alienating developers and creative professionals. Once this is complete it will be difficult to justify a higher cost because Apple products will no longer be seen as industry best. Apple will then be more prone to competition in the market.

this.
ios 7 was when apple died

The Microsoft surface line is doing extremely well tho.

OSX has been steadily going down hill. The latest version is extremely frustrating to use.

It's arguable that Johnny Ive as a designer is moving towards a particular paradigm - he wants a macbook to be a foldable a4 sheet of paper that connects wirelessly to all other devices.

As Johnny works towards the realisation of his paradigm Apple products will get worse. If Steve is anything like he was in the movies I can really see how his insistence on usability and inability to compromise worked against Johnny and produced real results.

from 00-10 apple redesigned their xBook (Pro) three times, now we stuck with the same design for almost 10 years, they just get more flat.

They have redesigned them several time now too you dip, 10-12, 12-14, 14-15, 16

Yes. And microsoft will soon end its surface pro line as soon as sheeple realize that they are doing literally the same as apple , and that they could just get a Ultimate tier wacom tablet and a High-end PC to do the same thing , if not even more.

Apple's doing fine, but its utter neglect of non-portable Macs and the Mac App Store (a huge missed opportunity) is extremely disappointing.

Also where exactly are they going with the iPad Pro concept? The 12.9" model is almost unwieldy as a handheld, and the 9.7" model can't fit a full-sized keyboard. Do they plan on using that Smart Connector for anything else? What happened to the "arm fatigue" argument against laptop-like convertible tablets? Not to say Microsoft has validated the form factor, because Windows 10 is still an unholy abomination of a user interface.

Also is the iPhone SE a one-off product or something that only gets refreshed every few years like the iPod touch? Speaking of which, how much longer do they plan to keep pre-iOS iPods around? Are enough people still buying them?

Finally, when will they fucking kill iTunes? How much longer must we suffer?

>Apple's doing fine
You miss the point.

Apple is doing fine financially, but they are fucking up the company.

>be faggot ceo
>infect apple with aids
>slowly kill the company

8 years and still going apple user here. I still have the GOAT 15" MBP 2012 as my daily computer but I recently built my own desktop case instead of buying old as fuck MacPro.

I didn't even bother upgrading the OS on my retina after yosemite and I didn't even try to make my new desktop hackintosh either.

I don't see any reason to buy any apple hardware after the year 2012.

It's a shame. I wish they upgraded the 15" MBP with a touchscreen/stylus tablet like the old convertible thinkpads and I wish they made a relevant MacPro. I'd buy those if they made until last year.

tim cuck don't have the same vision or the anger as Jobs.

>GOAT 15" MBP 2012
The GOAT MBP is the i7 2014

He just milked the cow before her imminent death.

bull* his*

>Apple's not doing well.

$60bil profit last financial year is "not doing well"?

People crowing about how Tim Cook is a bad CEO have no fucking idea.

see
You really should read threads before posting.

>Yes and that's why he is gettting cut 15%.

>>Getting paid $8.7 million and $137 million in stock bonuses last year, despite missing internal targets

You should really understand the tech business before posting.
If a company is making money, nobody will even talk about replacing the CEO.

Replacing Tim Cook right now would be fucking madness, the shareholders wouldn't even consider it.

Nobody is talking about how good of a CEO he is financially but the shit he does with the products.

fpbp

see
>profitable company =/= actually good company

anyone with eyes can tell apple is on the downswing. that includes all but the most deluded isheep.

the only apple products i use are macs but if they continue fucking them up i may actually switch to linux

Whiny neckbeards who aren't even Apple customers don't get to decide whether the CEO or his products are "good" or not.

They must be making good products, or they wouldn't be the most valuable company in the fucking world.

It is harder to estimate how much money they could have made if they made good products.
We could use a branch of journalism that reported on stuff like that, so tech companies were held accountable for their products, but that just seems unlikely at this point.

>post about own experiences
>not even using the products
kek, stale bait

see
It's already a fact that professions don't go for Apple anymore after the fucked up the Pro, they even announced they will discount the Pro desktop line

Their advertising has been astoundingly shit at Christmas just gone.

>they even announced they will discount the Pro desktop line

You just pulled that out of your ass.

macworld.co.uk/news/mac/new-mac-pro-release-date-rumours-uk-2017-tech-specs-future-of-mac-pro-3536364/#toc-2

it's just a matter of time, if you're so smart about the market, you would know it's almost a fact right now

Yeah, Apple is not what it used to be, but financially they're going to be fine for a long, long time. They've completely secured the normie market.

No one knows what Apple will actually do until they make a public statement or announcement. Tech pundit speculation doesn't mean jack shit.

Yet it's a fact that professional market has gone down. No matter what you say.

The pro market has always been a niche for Apple, albeit an important one historically. In any case, present circumstances don't dictate future outcomes. Nothing is certain.

DON'T YOU DISCRIMINATE OUR HOLY SAVIOR TIM 'THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST' COOK

Picture related.

>The pro market has always been a niche for Apple
wut
you sure know lots about Apples market kek

>buy a dongle to connect their airpods to charge with your laptop

>missing out on the purchasing-extra-items user experience

Most of Apple's money has always come from selling mainstream consumer products like MacBooks and iPhones, not high-end workstations like Macs Pro.

If you compare the Pro lines VS MacBooks and iPhones both, but it was a big part. It was never a niche market for them.

Steve Job's death was a mistake.

They killed Aperture and Final Cut, now professional filmmakers are forced use Sony Vegas/Catalyst or Windows movie maker.

Mac Pro are weaker that common windows laptops, filmmakers are forced to use windows laptops

They fired all humans in iphones factories by robots, destroying potential iphone buyers

youtube.com/watch?v=ZBma82g3Uag

Meme all you want about Steve, but he knew what he was doing.

I would have agreed with you about OS X a few years ago, but it's so buggy now and hasn't had any significant revision for the last 2-3 updates. I assume they're focusing more on phones, but those are a fucking mess now too. I knew Jobs was gone the moment they released pic related, he would have torn somebody a new asshole just over these shitty icons.

Scott Forstall is the only man who can save Apple now.

>killed Aperture
holy fuck I forgot about this. they rolled a very handy post-process suite that a lot of photographers I know used into fucking iphoto. one of their most retarded moves, it's like they're actively chasing professional users away.

It really is incredible just how shitty they managed to make those icons look.

>it's like they're actively chasing professional users away
But they are... they ruined the Mac Pro too

El Capitan was shit, but Sierra is usable, no better or worse since any release then Mavericks or Yosemite.
It's retarded that they roll up a new "release" all the time now, the could have continued to support every release for a few years at last like Tiger or Leopard.

>Apples CEO is openly gay
>Nvidia, Google and Microshit are run by pajeets
>AMDs CEO is a old asian hag
welcome to computing 2017

Sadly yes.

insightful

>Sadly

They killed final cut?
Ahahahahahahahahahah
Macfags BTFO

>white straight male are entitled and useless
welcome to reality

Yes

>They fired all humans in iphones factories by robots,

they use robots to fire people ? woah mang

Yes. Thank god.

Because he's the hero Sup Forums deserves, but not the one it needs right now.

So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it in the ass.

Because he's not our hero.

He's a silent gaper.

A watchful kiddie molester.

A Dank Knight.
