only question you need to answer: does it work with libgen.io?

nice blog

Kindles are controlled by amazon and if you buy one you put yourself under their dominion.
Kobos also support microSD cards and more formats than just '.mobi' (.mobi is Amazon's DRM supporting format)

This. Kobos are unparalleled for sideloading.

just go to one of the larger goodwills they have them for $30

>more formats than just '.mobi'
who gives a shit if you can convert pretty much everything into Mobi?

Take a load of this corporate cuck.

Kobo Aura One is the best you can get right now

Yeah, how dare I download free epub books, then convert them for free to .mobi and load them onto my paperwhite.

>Not into books.

Why in the world would you even consider getting a Kindle then? It's good for nothing except reading books. Used to be that you can get free internet anywhere in the world with the old Kindle keyboard, but you can't do that anymore.

Get an iPad instead if you only occasionally read books.

My nook simple touch with glowlight just died, so I'm in the market for a new e-reader.
I have ~900 books with no DRM, all epubs, but I know I can convert easily with calibre. When I buy ebooks I immediately strip the DRM, so I'm not tied to any single retailer.
Should I get the nook glowlight plus, the Kobo aura, the Kobo aura one, or something else? I'm kind of leaning towards the aura one

Kindle oasis

Who is this semen demon?

No idea

>tfw have Kindle Keyboard 3G but can't currently afford a Paperwhite 3

>poor
I feel sorry for you

>tfw have Kobo Aura One
>7.8" carta 300 ppi screen
>f.lux-like color adjustability
>7mm thin, only 210g
>blows any other reader our of the water, especially swindles

>I'm not into books
it's called ebook for a reason

Don't pirate books. You wouldn't download a car would you?

What if I already have physical copies?

i bought the voyage -.-

230$ price tag.

...

>heavy
>price of a tablet

i have a paperwhite. pretty cool. I like that i can find a free download for just about any book i want to read.

someone up above said you'll be under amazon's control, but if you keep it in airplane mode, they cant push ads to it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

>7.8" screen, 210g
>heavy
Kill yourself, kindle normie.
t. swindle normie poorfag
How can you read on a 6" screen? Lmao it's like reading on a smartphone. Sad!

paperwhite is great, but if you aren't into books then whats the point???

>he bought a Swindle Paperweight

Why? You could just get any tablet and you wouldn't be limited to Amazon's nonsense. Also I don't understand the appeal of a device that displays like an old calculator.

What's the appeal of doing that? I bought a Galaxy Tab 4 for a bill and it has internet, supports all book formats, games, and get this, COLOR!
Do you work for Amazon or something? I know they give y'all stock but does that really justify shilling for an inferior product?

>displays like an old calculator
are you stupid?

These are the prices I found on Amazon used
Is the DPI of the Paperwhite noticeably better for reading Chinese comics?

Well when you're right you're right.
Color displays forever btfo!

e-ink is easier on the eyes. It doesn't have the electronic look.

Yes. 164 vs 300 ppi. It's a huge difference.

How's the Kobo Touch 2.0?

#ebooks irchighway

>missing the whole point of an ereader

Don't get ereader if you want to read manga. I have Kindle pw2 and its perfect to read books but everything image heavy makes it sluggish that it becomes impossible to keep reading. Also zooming option is even worse. I'd get any cheap 10" tablet (I'd go with android or dual boot If you're going to read manga mostly) if I were you.
