What's with the terrible state of video editors on Windows? Literally everything sucks, is broken, old, or doesn't exist.
>Avidemux, Virtualdub, Wax Broken and old >Shotcut, Openshot, Lightworks, Blender, Filmora Big software suites that require encoding or limit free users >DVDVideoSoft Video Editor (pic related) In concept, it's the perfect video editor. But it's bundled with a bunch of malware and ads and other shit you don't want, limits file format support for free users, is somewhat buggy.
Is there a simple free video editor out there that just removes parts of a video without having to render output, like pic related?
>tfw still using Sony Vegas 9 because of this issue I've always wondered about the sheer vacuum of video editors
William Reyes
What is the Audacity of video editors?
Caleb Brown
you know nothing of video encoding don't you? use google newfriend
Adrian Turner
Da Vinci resolve.
Basic pack free for commercial use
Jonathan Adams
very epic post useless faggot
Mason Murphy
>Winbabies will never be able to use flowblade
Shitposting aside, people need to talk about this project more. I had no idea that it existed until a few weeks ago but it's by far the best free non-linear video editor for GNU/Linux. Also Natron is great for compositing (but I still prefer blender). jliljebl.github.io/flowblade/
Dominic Cox
That's a giant software suite that has all sorts of limitations for free users, requires you to register, etc. Not even close to being like Audacity.
Brayden Powell
kdenlive maybe?
Liam Wright
Just crack Sony Vegas or Premiere Pro
If you really need a legal edition, grab the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, it cost, but really not that much
Michael Reed
This. Not sure why these fucking retards don't know kdenlive
Austin Hernandez
Excellent port
Cooper Gray
The Adobe stuff (Premiere, After Effects, etc) are OK.
Another decent one is Blender.
Grayson Foster
Adobe premiere

Ah shoot, the Windows port is for 64bit systems only.
Ryan Jenkins
FFmpeg
Matthew Kelly
>tools not shortcuts
into the trashcan All those could be mapped to any configuration of CTRL, ALT, SHIFT and would be faster to use. The devs probably never tried anything else than Premiere.
Brandon Gray
Oh theres also Shotcut which claims to be completely free, never used it tho
Carson Young
>Windows Movie Maker used to be 10/10 >it slowly became shit >they just stopped making it Why this

AviSynth.
>Is there a simple free video editor out there that just removes parts of a video without having to render output Literally mkvmerge from MKVToolNix.
Jack Smith
>all sorts of limitations >literally the full edition is free besides stereoscopic shit and some shit that is only available if you buy a control surface
You sure are one giant faggot. Just be honest and say "I want a video editor for babbies because I'm one big, smelly babby"
Yes, I want a video editor for babbies. Just like Audacity is an audio editor for babbies. I don't want some giant corporate software suite. I just want to cut videos and other basic shit.
Luis Williams
Then get the fuck out you giant casual faggot. This is an elitist board, if you can't handle the technology then we don't want you using it.
>Windows Movie Maker used to be 10/10 topkek, were you one of THOSE guys who uploaded movie maker "tutorials" onto youtube? Don't forget to add 009 sound system :^)
Thomas Collins
Just because you cant set it up correctly for use doesnt mean it sucks Fuck off go use Windows movie maker for xp
Jackson Rogers
I wanted to ask this on the Stupid Questions General, but now I saw this thread. I have like 100 videos I want to edit, adding the same intro video to each one. Is there any video editor that can do a bulk processing of this? Thanks in advance.
Levi Green
Honestly, just install freemake video converter, block outgoing internet connections for it in your firewall and then put in a pirated key
Kayden Russell
youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu you can do anythiiiiiiiinngggg.....you want toooooooooooo
Jose Wilson
>those transitions >those news headline text headers >those retarded too-late or too-early cuts >the export quality truly 10/10
Jace Wright
>the export quality more like a 7.5/10
I'd input 1920x1080 video, export to 1920x1080, and it would have sidebars and letterbox, with a 5MBps bitrate lol
Lincoln Thomas
AviSynth.

>guy makes comment like "this song sucks ass, faggot" >video uploader responds with "why did u watch it then :)" instead of just deleting the comment >gets 30+ thumbs up

I fucking love these. It's like being in 2007 again.
if you just want to trim videos or just clip bits out of something with no reencoding use MKVmerge, you can split by timecode in the options.
For moving up in the food chain of editing you have to deal with encoding, its just how video works. Premiere Pro is the best beginner programme for everyone, get a hacked version of 5.5 or the most recent CC and learn on that. DaVinci Resolve is free but its pretty advanced, learn the basics elsewhere and then move to that. Avid is only for masochists or those who want to work in editing outside of their own jobs, its essential to learn as its industry standard.
I'm a pro video editor so will hang out in here if anyone has questions on shit. I use Avid and Premiere Pro professionally but know the basic programmes too.
Yasssssss I can excuse the Unregistered Hypercam logo missing, because this is just making me tear up. Thank you user.
Cooper Fisher
You can do that in Virtualdub.
Brandon Kelly
>Shotcut What is bad about it? I'm curious because I have some video's I want to make and I'd rather not pirate.
Anthony Torres
It looks pretty good so far desu, its a regular full editor that's actively supported and the most recent versions added pretty high end features.
Parker Bailey
Thank you so much pal
Camden Rivera
This is really good. But similar to DVDVideoSoft, it has spam everywhere, and a watermark for non-free users. This is pretty close to what we're looking for.
It's good. But it's for bigger video editing projects. Not just simple trimming.
