Scriptbabby here, writing a PYTHON SPIDER.
I'm told using '/' or '\' is very bad. So ...
So using OS module, I'm writing,
HOME = os.path.expanduser('~')
os.chdir(os.path.join(HOME,os.path.join("Documents", "Updates")))
which is clearly not ideal. Suggestions, help... wanted
In Python, how do I remove giant spaces from my data fetched.
The extracted article titles are formatted,
"Turkey's not so subtle shift on Syria"
"Donald Trump huge inauguration is being prepared"
and so on.
How the FUCK do you electronically sign editable PDF's without using Adobe?
My browser (Chromium fork) can view and type into fields, but can't sign it while LibreOffice fucks the whole PDF's format up on opening
Hello.
I currently have 2 kits of DDR3 ram.
>2 x 8 gb 1600mhz HyperX Blu (Runs for 1333 and wont xmp)
>2 x 4 gb 1866mhz HyperX Fury
I use a H97 mobo with muh i5 4690. If I mix and match, would my PC / mobo's ram slots get fuck'd? I got the 8gb kit as a gift.
uBlock Origin does not block pop-ups. It either allows them to open or they open and close immediately which is annoying. Pic is my settings.
Help me Sup Forums
I'm upgrading my PC audio, and I'm going for bookshelf speakers and an amplifier. My mobo has an optical out. Should I be looking at amplifiers/receivers with an optical input connection, or would that be pointless since I'd only be listening in stereo anyway? I feel like I'd prefer the computer recognise the amp as the "sound card" so that I don't have to adjust e.g. volume from two different places, but that would only work with a digital (USB) or optical connection.
tl;dr stereo analog amplifier or digital/TOSLINK-equipped amplifier?
>this pops up
>infinite load screens/black screens
>some anons recommended I boot from a flashdrive
Can anyone send me a link or something on how to do that?
Your browser already has a popup blocker. Configure that.
Print and fax or gpg sign it but normies don't use any opengpg implementation.
It just has 2 settings. Allow all or block all. I have it set to block all but it doesn't work.
MacOS's Preview can sign PDFs
Why do websites sometimes do this where it just doesn't display any styling?
When will a price drop occur for GTX 10 series laptops? When is Nvidia revealing pascal refresh or volta?
Usually there's a problem loading the stylesheet. Their CDN might be down or your browser might be blocking it
I'm still on Lolipop.
What's a good app for blocking phone numbers? What do people use?
just build a PC
I need it to be portable.
>print and fax
Please anything but that I beg you
Any other alternatives at all?
I cannot believe this, surely there MUST be a way in your expertise to do something as simple as signing a PDF
FOSS cannot have such overlooked a basic feature
I am in tears
Just tried using the logger and adding the link manually but they still pop up.
Optical receivers I've used added significant latency. Maybe they're better now. Never tried a USB. Internal card will always have the least latency. I noticed significant improvement with my $20 Xonar vs onboard. I'm liking my DTA-1 amp. The Lepai I got for the other room is noisy when not playing anything and the included power supply has no registration marks, not even a fraudulent CE one.
For anything non-interactive, you could just offset things if the audio ends up being out of sync. It's really not much of a problem even with the delay. I used to play video games on my dad's system like that. The tv lagged too because it was DLP.
Who are you signing it for? Fax is often the only legitimate way to send a signature without expensive proprietary systems.
i just finished building a computer, does a computer need Security Software to be safe?
I have G Data Total Security on my old computer and never had any problems.
Im not sure how necessary Security Software is.
Then good luck to you
It's a form sent by a business I need to fill out and electronically sign, and then attach as PDF to be sent by email with my message
I have everything filled out, I just can't sign it
I am so close
Maybe torrent Adobe or whatever and run it in a virtual machine?
I'm using linux and trying out a web-interface for rsyncd.
It's complaining that there is no configuration file. The file exists but it's empty.
Does linux generally generate config files or do I need to provide a 'template' config file? I hope this makes sense.
I was transporting my PC today. Had to walk in the rain for maybe 30 seconds or less. Was carrying my tower. It's visibly wet, but mostly just sprinkled. It has several vents on top where water might have come through, and possibly the side as well. There could potentially be a little water on the mobo. Am I safe to hook it back up and turn it on, or should I wait for a while?
Where are you planning to play games besides home? Couldn't you just read stuff? Like books about sex/relationships/kink?
Is Visual Studio supposed to give me exceptions when using operator new in classes with tests?
so there is just absolutely no way for FOSS to electronically sign PDFs whatsoever except through convoluted Adobe workarounds?
fuck.
Can't you just convert it to images edit it and convert it back to pdf?
Is anyone even making laptops with Blu-ray players in them? Any good ones?
3 days.
I have a very big problem with my new Mac Mini.
There are three "Keychains" that use "Keys" to for example write or read something on the keychains.
Now here's my problem:
There are three keychains:
Registration (to log in and use the mac)
local objects (to access iCloud, which basically does everything)
System
iCloud and other applications are trying to access the keychain and want me to enter the password for "local" objects".
The problem is that I haven't set one and can't give iCloud permissions over keychain management.
Help me please
You fucking with me?
I don't necessarily want it to play games. I just need performance.
literally just google it you humoungus piece of shit
It depends largely on what you do on that computer. Regardless of what you get told on here, it's probably best to run some kind of real time scanner, plus the occasional malwarebytes
Can you use multiple monitors with an HP all in one. I know it's a shit computer but it's all I have for school.
Then buy a laptop. Waiting for prices to drop in graphics cards is a fools errand.
I actually did try that earlier when I opened it in GIMP, but the page to sign is in Page 2, while whenever I export to PDF it only exports Page 1 since all the other pages are seen as just layers
There's a whole bunch of other pages too, so it would be incredibly complicated to pull out Page 2 specifically to sign it, and then place it back into exactly where Page 2 was as a single PDF document since there's Page 1, 3, 4, etc.
Maybe. Does it have any connectors on it? There's some USB shit that works well enough for office drones.
6 USB ports is all it has.
I have a monitor with built-in speakers, and I would like to get some actual speakers instead. The problem is that I have the monitor facing towards my chair during the day, and I turn it towards my bed at night. so there is no good place to put speakers. Any ideas?
why do you move your monitor at night?
you could have speakers on the left and right of your monitor like everyone else with the daytime setup, or you could just use headphones so you can change the monitor freely
best way to learn ASP.NET MVC, books, pages, anything?
Do I really need to turn on steam guard authenticator now to earn my annual 2 dollars selling stupid shit trading cards to dummies?
It used to be like 2 clicks.
Hello, I'm currently in the mood to watch a movie, but I'm having a little problem : where do I find good torrents ? What trackers do you guys use ?
For movies, series, animes and maybe cartoons ? I know there's nyaa.se, but that only covers anime, so what about the others ? Thank you, Sup Forums.
Put them under the table. They"ll echo a little bit
get pop up blocker pro from the chrome store on your chromium
>why do you move your monitor at night?
So I can use my computer in bed.
>Waiting for prices to drop in graphics cards is a fools errand.
Why?
someone sent me a really helpful link but I forgot to save it and can't find it in my history. Cut me some slack, user.

Using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and using the Unity DE. When i snap a window to the left half or make a window maximized there is a small line maybe 1 or 2 pixels wide that is between the window and the Unity launcher. Is there a way to fix this?

Gentoomen:
I have a pair of Xeon microprocessors that I'm considering getting a motherboard for, but I don't know it they are worth putting back into service. The markings on the bottom are '2800DP/2M/800'. I assume these are clock, cache, and bus specs. They are pulls from a Dell PowerEdge2850. Any board recommendations? Is it even worth it? Hoping to find a small used motherboard on eBay, but I don't know what 'series' of Xeons these are. Thanks in advance.
did you try turning it on and pressing block ads on this page?
No, seriously. If you're within like 2 months of a major leap like we had last year and you're already sitting on an acceptable card, then sure, wait it out. But under normal circumstances the amount you save or the performance increase is negligible, and you could basically wait forever.
Uninstall/reinstall origin
I actually wanted to watch Unbreakable but, oh well. By the way I'm talking about public trackers, I wouldn't be /ptg/'s burden, you know.
Laying in bed with headphones is not comfy at all.
I have a body pillow but it is just plain green. I wish it was anime.
I have never used that feature, is it just a way to draw your name in the pdf or does it do something special?
Because if you have some time, then why not draw it a bunch of times in inkscpape, save it as tikz and insert it in the documents you have to sign.
This way, you cannot extract the signature as an image, the signature is stored as a text file you can encrypt however you'd like and it is easy to embed.
What are you planning to use it for? Powering that may cost more than renting a VPS or buying an SBC that can do what you need.
>Laying in bed with headphones is not comfy at all.
What headphones do you have? Sup Forums seems to hate sennheisers but they are WAY comfier to wear laying down than my m50s.
thanks!
I just wanted to put a machine together- no real intention to use as a dedicated server. So these are power-hungry, then?
Sennheiser HD555, they are comfortable for normal wear, but no headphones are good in bed, especially because I like to lay on my side.
I'd also like to get rid of my glasses too because they aren't comfortable when laying on my side, but that is an even harder problem.
It is not comfortable if you are lying on your side and your head presses against the headphones.
Any player that can play two subtitles from .MKV file at the same time? Bonus: can be fed two .SRT and play them simultaneously.
Or how do I achieve this with VLC? Googled and the result is very sketchy, a plugin to create extra window with subtitles (which I would also have to extract from the file). Easier would have been just to brute-merge two subtitle files into one, but I don't want to do this.
Pls appreciate my OC.
Thanks a lot mate ! Thanks to you I will probably feel, watching Unbreakable.
can you convert it to a picture, then sign it in paint or something and Print it as a PDF?
This is a fetish of mine :D
chink in armor or watching unbreakable?
Why does transferring files in Filezilla on my local area network lag me in online games on my PS4?
Both are quite hot to be honest.
I'm a member of the private tracker IPTorrents and they sent me an email containing links for "IPT Browser with built-in VPN" and "Free Browser VPN addons"
The add-ons do work (tried them at my job and was able to access youtube, and a few other blocked sites)
>Question is: How private is a free VPN?
>I can't install the browser due to lack of administrative permission, so I just installed the add on to chrome since it can be installed without admin permissions. Am I going to get fired for using a VPN extension on chrome?
Probably saturating your local connection. Limit filezillas transfer speed
TYPE samereg_rec IS RECORD (region regions.region_name%TYPE,
country countries.country_name%TYPE,
currency currencies.currency_code%TYPE);
TYPE samereg_type IS TABLE OF samereg_rec
INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER;
PROCEDURE countries_in_same_region (p_regionname IN regions.region_name%TYPE, p_samereg OUT samereg_type);
How would I pass the array being used as an out parameter in this procedure as the in parameter for a different procedure? I want a separate procedure to display the array.
God, your sikret klab should be so shitty they take people this tech illiterate.
Armor, but I prefer more sci-fi stuff. Anything rigid and form fitting is fun.
>Hate headphones when trying to sleep
>Has green body pillow (I call her Sasha) and wishes it was daki
Are we the same person?
Free VPNs are a terrible idea
They mine the fuck out of your information
The network administrator can't see what you're doing, but the VPN host effectively becomes your ISP in terms of trust
If your school/work is directly monitoring the PC, you're boned all around
No, I never named my pillow.
Then why even get one?
>Hates wearing headphones while sleeping
>Motherfucking soul mates
Finally managed to sign it using Xournal thanks to a friend of mine
just letting people know if they run into the same problem
I don't know, I've had it like 15 years.
I'm a sophomore comp sci major and unfortunately only know java at the moment. My intro class was in Java. My gf is considering doing a minor in CS and is taking her intro class this semester and they've changed the curriculum from Java to Python.
Is that a bad thing? What are the pros and cons for those two
Cool.
Never used that application.
Do you use a tablet to write with or does it not bother you that it looks like shit?
I used a mouse and did it VERY VERY carefully
but m8 I'm just in bliss knowing that I can submit the damn fucking thing
I don't think they monitor the network directly unless something happens, but we have found a few back door ways into restricted sites at work, and it's usually patched up after a few weeks.
Maybe I'll give this to someone who I know will abuse it and let them test it for me.
Otherwise I'll only use it when absolutely necessary and not access personal accounts. I kinda just wanted it to be able to stream some videos on my work network. I can connect my personal laptop and not have to sign in to access the network so the only way my network admin would be able to know it was me is if he walked in to see me with his own eyes and they rarely get out of their offices so that's not likely.
Will it take off?
With these new Kaby Lake processors out I'm getting a really cheap deal on a Skylake CPU and relevant motherboard for a new build, not interested in the latest or the greatest just glad to have a working build after my old one crapped out.
Does Windows 7 run fine on Skylake processors?
Generally yes
