Well, what do, now ?

Well, what do, now ?

This is a 3.5" HDD and I bought an external enclosure just for it.

you already have a SATA power cable plugged into that drive so you don't need to use the Molex for anything, just leave it unplugged.

...

there are molex to sata adapters

See

Remove the molex connector from the bay's board.

Done.

unplug the molex, and then close it up and walk away

this fucking guy

Molex to SATA
Lose All your data

...

That's what I did, but the HDD isn't functionning, I hear no sound.

It's working in a desktop though

Did you try turning the external enclosure on and mounting the drive in whichever OS you're running?

is this whole thing seriously getting power from just a mini usb?

unplug the molex from the board, first of all

also, it may not be able to power the hdd and do data transfer at the same time

You might want to plug in the barrel connector and wall wart as well. USB can't power this alone.

nothing wrong with molex to sata, just make sure you dont have chinked adapters. youtube them. some are garbage

Yes

"kek"

user pls, what was going through your head when you decided to plug the sata power connector into part of the IDE connector?

even if the manual was in chinese i'm sure you could have figured this out

...

Un fucking believable. 10/10 top tier bait. Would bait again. Well done lad.

well it works now

sorry i'm stoned
