you already have a SATA power cable plugged into that drive so you don't need to use the Molex for anything, just leave it unplugged.

unplug the molex from the board, first of all
also, it may not be able to power the hdd and do data transfer at the same time

You might want to plug in the barrel connector and wall wart as well. USB can't power this alone.

nothing wrong with molex to sata, just make sure you dont have chinked adapters. youtube them. some are garbage
