Fight me!
flask is better
Why fight when we can be friends
Inferior performance to Golang.
Other than that its quite comfy
Isn't it slow as fuck?
It's not written in a better language.
On the upside, they decided to drop Python 2.x support.
A CHALLENGER APPEARS
>using a newspaper cms instead of Rails master race.
>PHP framework
disgusting
python
Slow as fuck.
>having a new JIT just to give up the speed in .Net like frameworks
It's not PHP+Laravel
Well they will drop it in Django 2. Python 2.7 support will be maintained until 2020 when Django 1.11 is EOL.
>Django
Flaw found, get Flask.
Player 3 has entered the game
Fuck, guess I'm gonna have to fork Django then. Python 3 is cancer.
GIL
/thread
you disgust me
it's python...
what could possibly be good about it? python is the scripting equivalent of Java
gr8 b8
The difference is that Java is at least somewhat well designed from an engineers disturbed view.
Python on the other hand...
Well maybe you remember the Lily language thread that shows that janitors with otherwise no connection to programming can design better languages than GVR.
Frameworks are stupid and so are the people who use them.
I used bottle.py once and it almost worked completely fine.
But I had this crazy ass esoteric problem where other users could see each others error messages that was obviously not desirable. Like if they tried to go to /3208320random404page and then the other user also went to a random 404 page they would get the page missing error for the first user. My program wasn't very big either so it couldn't have been anything I was doing.
I'm using CherryPy / Flask in the future.
From scratch e'ery time like Mammy cookin'
t. 16 year old who never had a programming job
Enjoy coding everything from scratch when you have a deadline.
What are you talking about?
Ruby on Rails
Laravel does too much for the decrepit C scripting wrapper it's build on.
I find a lot of people who use frameworks spend absurd amounts of time worrying about the speed especially when most of their websites barely hit 10requests/sec
It's really nice but kinda slow compared to Java or Node.
Matters a lot less for web stuff since you can just run a bunch of instances anyway.
Every current web framework is fast enough. Everything scales. Unless you're fucking Amazon you can run anything with anything.
>he wants his site to be pinged of death
You shouldn't use the testing/development server from bottle. Just use ApacheWSGI or set server to cherrypy and you're good.
Django runs reddit.com and I'm pretty sure it still runs Instagram
so yes, it's slow as fuck.
Keep in mind reddit is literally just a blog
spoken like a tru child who has never used it before
New Django is dropping Python 2.7 support.
Python is not autistic enough for my need to feel elitistic
