It's set in New Mexico. You seem to have a fascination for the Wild West, which spans many states, not just Texas.
It's regarded as one of the greatest Westerns of all time, which I think is interesting, especially since it was shot in Italy as one of the many "Spaghetti Westerns" made during that era.

Uncharted 3 has level that takes place in Cartagena, particularly the preserved 19th-century part of town, which is fitting considering the game.
They speak with a mexican accent despite the villagers being spaniards.
Which is ironic considering people wanted a latin american dub for spanish versions of games for a long time, and the one time they finally get non-spaniard voice actors for hispanic characters is also the one time it's inappropiate.
