Where's the boi that needed help with M40X's as a gift? I mentioned the DT250 pads before the thread went RIP.
Adam Garcia
I know this might not be the place to ask but could anyone recommend me some active speakers? Or maybe passive? I dont really want to buy a DAC but if the sound quality is alot better on passive speakers i guess i would. My budget is $200
William Evans
Is this amp/dac combo any good? How does it compare to Schiit's Fulla2?
Cameron Lopez
Oh and id be using them for Gaming / Movies / Music

What headphones is this cute girl using
Mason Moore
not sure but she uses it with a CD player. lol
Nathaniel Cooper
don't laugh at the poor country girl
Jaxson Rogers
MP3 player? Magic Points from a game?
Jackson Fisher
Thanks for the suggestion. Would these sound better than usb speakers around the same price?
>Comparing them to the Beyerdynamic DT 770 80ohm that I own, they sound extremely similar, both of them being open back headphones.
Ayden Hughes
metal571
Blake Taylor
does massdrop email and tell you when a drop will be available ahead of time so you can prepare? if i miss the HD 6XXs when/if they come back i'll fucking seppuku
Dylan Sanders
K612 imo is AKG's best midrange headphone Go for it unless you can find a used HD600/580 for cheap.
Alexander Phillips
All have flaws, or are pretty shit.
Zeos ONLY for build/comfort/other misc shit Metal571 for sound. Ignore tyll and just check his measurements.
Dylan Walker
6XX will probably have an advanced email to build hype
otherwise they just email you when the drop starts
James Moore
Are HD 650s worth the additional cost over the 600s?
Daniel Thomas
>tfw you hear ringing in your ears after listening, but have to play at a decent volume to get good sound out of headphones
And now for the slow decline of audible sounds
Isaiah Bennett
looking to switch from a pair of rha750s to closed back, thinking of m50x but not sure budget is 150$ (little more or less), any suggestions?
Caleb Sullivan
Depends on your preference. In my opinion, no. I like the 600's better for their more throaty forward upper mids, and less recessed highs.
Either way, the differences are minimal, and an EQ can replicate the other. Just get whatever is cheaper and EQ. Chances are unless you compare them you won't really care.
Jacob Parker
Go for 770's if you want V-shape. M50x are just worse all around other than portability, and slightly more 'flatness' in the midrange.
Jose Rivera
>K612 Like the K601 before it, this is AKG's most neutral reference headphone. Arguably their best headphone. Fairly insensitive, much more so than the umpteenth rebrand of the FA-003. >safe Other that the price delta, I seem to be missing out on the "risk".
Do you people really pay attention to youtube reviewers? I thought that was just some sort of running joke.
Nolan Cooper
well im not looking for specifically v shape, but something a little more colored than just flat, specifically for industrial, metal would m50x be bad?
Chase Bell
DT 770's are not as V shaped as people do suggest. Sure when compared to Sup Forums's favorites like hd600, hd558, m40x k701 and what not they are V shaped, but in the spectrum of normal headphones these could go for "A little more colored than flat".
Julian Wood
>Budget $50 >Location USA >Source Phone >Type of headphone IEM >Comfort level Sound>Comfort >Sound signature Bassy, Balanced, V-Shaped >Past headphones 668B (Current) - Perfect Samson SR950 - Almost NigBass tier but sounded great overall 681 - Bright, Clean bass though almost too light JVC-HAFX40 - TOO FUCKING BRIGHT, Bass was good, mids too recessed VE Monk+ (2 thin foams) - mids are great, treble is a bit peaky but fine, wish the bass wasn't as rolled off and lacks sub bass

Jason Bennett
hifi heaven is my favorite. metal 571 is good too. Zeos is fun but he isn't a good reviewer. Tyll is awkward and makes me feel like I'm a date who hes autistically showing his headphones to
Owen Young
Look into SoundMagic E10. They are warm/bassy
Noah Myers
>$400 headphones >$250+ dac/amp >this is just entry level stuff why this shit gotta be so expensive, damn
Jose Evans
Whoever says that just pisses money out their ass
Isaiah Cooper
I usually recommend the k612 for people who are after a rather neutral sounding headphone, given that they have an amp that puts out enough power. As said, they are rather insensitive, and I'd suggest driving them with an amp like the E09K or one that has a similar power output.
>the vocals are so fucking clear, and the bass is tight I usually tell people to take those sound demos with a grain of salt, but yea, the k612 has a nice midrange and tight bass (this is basically the brand's sound signature)
Ian Rivera
They look great and reviews seem to be what I'm looking for, thanks What's the difference between these and E30's?
Samuel Perry
...
Ian Baker
Best budget headphones coming through.
Carter Scott
Stupid goyim will pay shekels for anything.
To be real though it's probably because this sort of stuff requires a lot of R&D to get to the autistic levels of accuracy in high end headphones.
Dylan Martinez
It has a sexy design.
I was ordering this but the HD 598 was at the same price.
Maybe later.
Blake Brown
598s for $70 where?
Ian Lee
Sorry, in Mexico were at the same price.
Around $118
Brayden Evans
Good deal, user. They were $200 here in Canada, so I settled for $60 9500S' instead.
Nathan Evans
>What's the difference between these and E30's? Can't tell you, never tried them
Liam Collins
Ikr? A couple of times 598s were $85.00 USD.
Sadly I was broke back then, check Amazon Mexico around Sept or Dec Amazon usually drop prices in those months.
Leo Fisher
>>this is just entry level stuff People who say that are just being elitist.
Colton Clark
Yeah, i would say it's mid-range
William Rodriguez
OP from , what's the difference between Soundmagic E10 and E30?
Ryan Reyes
Is there anything like AKG K7XX's in terms of comfort that are closed?
I'd like to use them in public since I'm loving my current K7XX's
Adrian Foster
I ordered a pair of Jupiters from ALO Audio's B-stock. I'm rather excited, as I've never had a pair of balanced armature IEMs before.
Any fans of BA headphones here?
Connor Garcia
Imaging is more important than soundstage.
Luke Brown
Yea, but saying soundstage makes me feel smart.
Ethan Cruz
poor britfag here, any good over ear headphones for around £50/$60 or less?
David Walker
they're the SAME thing
Lincoln Young
At that price youre probably better off just buying IEMs.
The only real 'good' over ears your looking at is Superlux 662 EVO, ISK HP2010/2011 [open and closed respectively], or other various chinese knockoffs.
Sebastian Anderson
So they're both the perception of positional accuracy across 3 axes? That's what I've always understood soundstage to be.
Benjamin Morris
I'll probably get the 662. Any recommendations for a microphone? I'm looking for something around $35
Andrew Clark
Are these any good
Jason Hall
Anyone here have any experience with Logitech G430? i'm looking for a headset
Jace Thompson
Reminder to never recommend K550, K551, K553, K545 etc.
But if you are still there and want a warm sounding closed back headphone check out the NVX XPT100. Beyerdynamic DT770 would do what the K5xx-series headphones try to: a V-shape but thanks to the much better pads the DT770 don't usually leak and actually have bass.
Cooper Cruz
what is a good pair of ~$300 open headphones?
Also, are schiit amps any good?

Headsets suck buy SHP9500 with a vmoda boompro or m40x if you want closed
Jaxon Foster
Plenty, my blind recommendation is HD 600.
And Schiit's lower priced gear tends to be excellent.
Kayden Murphy
>my blind recommendation is HD 600. thanks! I didn't want a 'tailored' recommendation. I just wanted to see what was considered decent
>reeee I refuse to answer posts that don't strictly conform to the format even though enough information was given

Caleb Long
so whats your favorite headphone and why
Carson Campbell
Christ.
Go fulla2.
Brandon Edwards
I'm ordering HD600 soon.
HD650 are unappealing to me. They're colored AF, as per every review I've seen, particularly those comparing both.
Henry Green
>DT990 Pro >DT770 Pro >Fostex HP-A3
Now what?
Wyatt Johnson
Difference is really quite small to the HD 600 but the HD 650 is a bit more colored.
Eli Ortiz
How would a DAC/amp work if I have something like a BoomPro for the mic? Would I have to plug the headphone on it's own on it, and then try to route the mic cable to my onboard input? Is there any alternative where I can use both? How is the Scarlett as a DAC? I've read that it's not great as an amp, but that doesn't really bother me. All I want is a single thing to plug in both the headphones and mic that also serves as a DAC.
Owen Richardson
I pulled the trigger on the SR-80e, reviews online from both users and review sites are glowing with the only complaint being that they're somewhat uncomfortable and that the sound isn't very delicate. I like that they're actually properly made in America and not China. Hopefully they'll be here in a week or two.
James Ortiz
Why do earphones sound so fucking bad holy shit
Chase Murphy
Trying to get EQ APO to work.
It's not.
Running win10 with onboard audio driver. People say to enable "Enhancements" but I got nothing like that in my audio settings.
Please help.
James Scott
No bass, sometimes nasty levels of distortion some of which can get audible, often poor bandwidth and extremely colored response. They aren't suited for full band audio listening but for things like calls they are fine.
Hunter Watson
What type of microphone?
Asher Fisher
>Where's the boi that needed help with M40X's as a gift? I'm here. Thanks for your suggestion, but I decided I'll go with the sheepskin pads: they give a higher quality feel because, again, being a gift I'm leaning more towards the build quality.
Hunter Sanders
Argons? Yes and no. Sub-bass isn't too amazing, but everything else is really quite detailed. They really make up the sub bass by having great sound-stage and fucking phenomenal imaging. For $250 theyre pretty decent.
If you want better sub-bass check DT770's. Not as smooth sounding, and highs can be quite sibilant if you're sensitive. If you've got more than $250, check the Fostex THX00's. Improvement over the 770's all around, other than isolation.
