I got in on the original fidget cube after the kickstarter was over, but they're btfo in backorders and can't keep production up. I just hope it means that they have a high quality product and good quality assurance because the ripoffs have been shipping without issue since forever. The quality on ripoffs seems rather dubious though.

I got a chink FidgetCube recently. I am happy with it, though it has issues such as the spinning fidgets not being smooth. Still, it's decent and will tide me over until my pre-order arrives.

There seems to be two main types being sold out there, the decent quality vinyl cubes and the ultra cheap ABS plastic shit. The sub-$6 cubes seem to be all ABS shit and should be avoided; $6 - $10 sends to be the optimal range to pay. If the picture looks smooth, glossy and chintzy then avoid. The Gearbest cubes are guaranteed garbage. It also seems color matters, the all black ones are more likely to be quality.

as someone with real ADD (not my parents and teachers were lazy and put me on meds ADD), having something to fidget with can really help depending on what I'm doing

if I'm trying to watch a video lecture or something, it helps as a controlled outlet for distraction

on the other hand, something to fidget with is a bane and a pox if I need to actually be doing work
if I have something to fidget with and I'm programming or drafting or whatever, my tendency is to sit and stare at the screen and play with whatever instead of typing
