WordPress site

Hi Sup Forumsang, I just installed WordPress to my server and looking to build a cool website. I know the basics, but what are some good plugins and what are so awesome themes I could make my own?

Are you ready for some autistic screeching?

I'll post there later
Ha ha ha my body is ready

Just leave all your passwords in your index.php OP. Save le haxors some time.

Useful

I use these plugins

Thank you, what theme do you use and what does your site do?

Personal blog to post about projects. I like to go back and reread stuff. A dude called Anders Noren makes great free themes.

I use the default theme and post gay furry porn.

I don't use wordpress, disabled my site after I somehow got my IP blacklisted on the Firewall and couldn't update to fix the RCE on the API that came out recently.

Wordpress or any other CMS is perfectly fine as long as you don't blow it up with shitty plugins for casual shit that you can just code by hand in seconds in the first place.

You also shouldn't try to have everything on WP/CMS through plugins as well. If you want to run a store, install magento and if you want to run a forum, do phpbb or an imageboard or whatever. Updates will fucking murder on this you even if you are a competent web dev and so will theming it all to look the same.

There's a lot of web devs out there that just happen to use WP or a CMS but there's a shit load of "web devs" who don't know what HTML or CSS are and proceed to install 2001 shit plugins just for one feature and even if it DOES work the site load time is 15 sec a page

is it really that hard to write your own shit?

for fucks sake.

I mean it's PHP, so would you want to?

I dislike WP, but I've had to learn to use it effectively to do my job.

That being said, Custom Post Type UI is a fucking amazing plugin for WP. The first thing I always install on any site.

Thanks m8
>magento
This is good and everything you shared is right on point, thanks
Nah, but this is quick and easy to repeat
>Custom Post Type UI
Awesome will look into

Make sure you don't install any of the updated versions, those will give you malware.

If you don't need a lot of dynamic shit then check out static blogging platforms like Jekyll. They're faster, more secure, more reliable, and cheaper to run.
