>Inherently anti-capitalist ideal
>"Th-thanks, capitalism..."

sage in all fields

You're welcome, faggot.

You're a fucking retard

...

wtf i love socialism!

Corporatism*.

>an opinion piece on a consumer blog
>relevant to anything ever
pick one and only one

I might as well go to Cosmo, find some stupid "six ways to please your husband with your armpits" article and post it with "thanks communism"

clickbaitable

Nobody tell Mom what I've been doing.

...

at least you have a top of the line phone

>shouldn't have a right to repair my own phone

Trying to stop me adds to the challenge, and further embarrases manufacturers.

Bring it on!

...

...

>owning an iPhone
>being a communist

...

...

right to repair isn't about allowing individuals to repair their own phones.

it's about allowing a free market of phone repairers. If the schematics and proprietary parts are available, anyone can fix it, and you'll go to the person at the lowest price.

This isn't socialism, this is capitolism. I am a freetard, not an communist, anarchist or any other retarded modern faction.

There is literally nothing wrong with communism.

tried disassembling an iphone 4 the other day to fix the power button. Fuck these cunts, that shit was basically impossible.

...

Thanks to capitalism, you can buy a competing phone because it's easier to repair.

>Government forcing someone to release schematics to their competitors
How is that in any way "free"?

Commie retard nigger kike! Get out!

>implying competitors need schematics to copy a product

It's never worked once you retarded nigger

Normies will blame the manufacturer when Pablo replaces the battery in their phones with parts bought from a shady facotry in Shenzhen.

...

Not if it becomes illegal to repair any phone.

Crony capitalism is not a free market. It's the opposite. How can anyone defend this?

what, who says that repairing phones should be illegal? My LG phone is easy to repair, modular components like legos

In the same way anti-trust laws and monopoly busting are healthy for the free market even if hardcore libertarians would throw a fit

...

in theory, anyone would be able to complete with the original manufacturer for repair. I don't see how that would be worse than the 'fuck you just pay for another mainboard' market we're in right now.

Fucking jews

you'd have clones show up, and incentive for innovation would drop because of lower returns

>"""innovation"""

That's just a non sequitur.

Consumer electronics is probably the least important part of right to repair.

There are things of actual consequence like farm equipment, industrial machinery, and cars that are affected by the same rules now that they're all computer controlled.

Also don't link clickbait.

>2017
>Unironically a communist/socialist

to design something significantly better at the expense of resources
how so? if the risk of immediate copycats gets too high, why would I spend large amounts of R&D money on a project? I'm interested to hear your logic

>2030 the year of our robot overlords mining asteroids
>still believing capitalism is endgame

>Still thinking socialism automatically means marxist socialism

>if the risk of immediate copycats gets too high, why would I spend large amounts of R&D money on a project
If the issue is immediate copycats in a market where people update their hardware once a year, I don't expect that to be much of an issue. If it becomes an actual issue, the manufacturer could release it under a clause that prevents future equipment being manufactured for profit.

not that guy, but how would socialism be maintained in a post-employment world? would it be run by a machine to prevent human bias?

> imported disposable Chinese electronics do not represent capitalism

Dumbass

>Every single capitalistic country in the world is China-tier in terms of worker's rights and things of that nature

...

National Socialism is a thing you retard. It's still socialism, just not marxist socialism.

T-think different!

...

...

National socialism worked, stop shitposting.

This. As a hacker it doesn't bother me at all, the moment the phone is in my possession I own it. Try and stop me from tinkering / modding.

That is so fucking dumb

communism lasted longer

they must be lovely places to live

>We've run out of jewgolds to steal, what now Hans?

>National socialism worked, stop shitposting.
Truly the best track record.

Learn your history faggot, the system was fine, the players were shit.

Thats a russia problem. Happens with whatever government russia uses.

Nice goalposts you got there hans.

If the public demanded a repairable phone than the market would deliver. If there is only a small part of the public who wants to have the ability to repair their phone than only a small part of the market will cater to them.
Want to change things? Get more people to demand the ability to repair their phone.

Yes, Finland is lovely this time of year. You should visit.

>system was fine
It was pretty fucking terrible. I mean the big problem was that Hitler was spending all his country's resources on war, but people were still suffering.

Yeah, the nationalism meme makes people put aside petty differences to work together and hopefully not screw each other over, but as soon as the "fight" (either literal war or social) is over, people start wanting to improve their own lives and the system falls apart.

Nazi Germany sucked to live in as a civilian just as bad as it sucked to live in the US in WWII.

I'm actually not even the same guy, but the fact is that German would have been fine if not for the retarded decisions of Hitler and the brutality of the Russian government which was a communist hell that killed millions of people without a second thought.

At least the Germans died willingly, the soviets dumped their prisoners on the front line unarmed and told them to fight or die. Funny thing about genocide, no one cares unless it's racially motivated.

Russia was a backwards feudal agrarian shithole before the commies took over.

...

I never said Germany was the strongest, i literally said Hitler was retarded. Hell I'm not even german.
when in doubt post memes huh

kys commie nigger

>kys
End yourself.

>unarmed
>only Soviets has forced conscription

>>Sup Forums

the soviet union was well known for their 2 man teams in the early war. Due to supply issues, one would carry the gun, the other would carry ammo. Whoever ended up dying picked up the other's gear

Yes, this was due to Soviet formations being encircled and starved of supplies.
The same thing happened to the Heer in the final months of the war.
Neither side sent waves of meat shields into battle with no weapons.
Even if it were true one retarded system doesn't make another retarded system less retarded.

is this bait or are you just american?

>Neither side sent waves of meat shields into battle with no weapons.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shtrafbat

no I'm not saying it was the political system that caused it, moreso Stalin himself defending his namesake city. it was civilians, not prisoners though.

Penal battalions were not unarmed user.

>worked
If it "worked" why are you using past tense instead of "is working"

This. Fuck you all stormfags

I wonder what precious metal the author of that article has in their last name.

This wouldn't be an issue if everyone just embraced anarcho-primitivism.

But all the leftist shills on here are trying to force their authoritarian hellhole of redistribution and leeching on everyone.

After that it was a backwards commie shithole.

Maybe Russia just likes to be backwards?

>being this fucking triggered at the mere mention of any slight critique of capitalist economic practices

I thought the lefties were the SJWs?

Anarcho privitism IS leftism. Leftism is very broad, it doesn't just mean muh USSR.

What a surprise, over-generalizations of people doesn't work.

do you actually think the lack of schematics is what is preventing clones from being made?

because if you have the money you can figure everything out without schematics

Have fun in jail for messing with your tractor, faggot.

wired.com/2015/04/dmca-ownership-john-deere/

Well yeah, but technically monopolies are only a thing in large part because of government interference.

>Entire story is about how the author supports that people should be allowed to repair things they own provided they have the ability to do so, and he just points out some people don't have the technical skills to do so.
The story has an extremely misleading click-bait trash headline, not too surprising given the site though.

Partially.
You need a history of corporations to understand the process:
In the 19th century, there were no corporate regulations at all. You could do what you want, more or less. And so brick dust was used to bulk out flour, wood chips were used to make fake 'strawberry pips' in jam, and you could sell all the ineffective poisonous garbage you wanted so long as people bought it.
so the reaction was that the government regulated. Food health and safety standards- you can't adulterate food with shit. You have to be honest about what you're selling. You can still sell brick dust flour but you have to say how much brick dust is in it.
Same kind of deal for monopolies and anti-trust behaviours- price fixing, conspiracies, that sort of shit.
And this worked, but it hampered profits. And so in the last century it's been the reverse process: Governments are being influenced by the huge amount of wealth that corporations have to deregulate and remove regulations (or add loopholes in the name of 'fixing things') removing these protections.

You saw this happen in environmental things. Environmental regulations were a REACTION to the huge pollution spewed by industrial plants. They didn't come out of nowhere. so now corporations want to remove environmental restrictions so they can pour toxic chemicals into rivers and fill the air with sulphur, since waste treatment costs money, but dumping your waste onto your worker's houses costs nothing. There are always more workers!

Theyre not getting rid of copyrights.

>mashable
>where 99% of the content is written by journalism students who are willing to write for free
Quality shitpost m8

Yeah, they were armed with a penis
Penal battalions, hehehhhhehehehe

>mfw I still have around a Sanyo TV manual from 80/90 and it has all circuit diagrams
>mfw nobody ever made a rip-off of this tv

>It's real
mashable.com/2017/02/16/right-to-repair-is-ridiculous/#Guc2jW7plkq9
How old is this guy?

You mean exactly like copyright law?

Allowing corporations to lobby the government without restriction is a capitalist ideal. Just because it inevitably goes badly for consumers doesn't make it any less so.

It's like communists who cry that all those failed attempts wasn't 'real communism'.

Hitler spending on war is not an inherent mode of national socialism. He could have spent on economically dominating his surroundings, or increasing the natality rates so his country slowly overthrows the surroundings with a population and cultural spread like China always did with its Celestial Empire shit (till it finally started doing some military conquest in the past century).

Substitute war through weapons with war through economy or culture, and all of a sudden natsoc is a very domineering and successful system, as China happens to prove despite the Commie cover it makes to fool blind retards.
