Windows in charge of memory management

>Windows in charge of memory management
It just keeps going up and up, LOL!

Absolutely hilarious, Windows update is now using about 12 and a half gigs of RAM

>has 32 GB Ram

wonders why windows is using resources available to it

piece of shit faggot retard pajeet monkey

its caching the update in ram instead of saving to the storage drive

youd think people would have some basic computer knowledge before they start recording gayming content to put on yuutube

Doesn't happen on my 64 GiB machine, and the one in OP is on LTSB so there shouldn't be much in the way of updates, certainly not 12 GiB worth

>Alienware

I just discovered it's not from Windows update
It starts happening when I try to initialize a disk that it crashes on
From then on memory just goes up and up and up

are you implying microsoft is pushing 12gb updates now?

i heard theres a memory leak in windows update so it might be to do with that

gotta add in the new spyw.. i mean user features

There's nothing wrong with Alienware.

Unused RAM is wasted RAM.

I've had an issue w/ Windows leaking memory like a sieve lately. The only thing that fixes it (outside of a reboot) is to reset the WMI repository. A few weeks ago my machine gave me a warning I haven't seen in a long while, saying my virtual memory was exhausted. I had a 59GB pagefile.

What the actual fuck? I have 32GB of RAM and I rarely even use half of it.

I swear - the more powerful a pc a person has, the more of a retarded mouthbreathing nigger they are

Well this time I didn't touch the disk I thought was causing a problem and it's still going up by .1 or .2 MB every time task manager updates itself

Disabled Windows update so it's not that either.
Trying

True.

>being this bad at computing
laff

OP here, think I fixed it.
I unplugged the drive - it looks like the sata cable is fugged for some reason

Arch never gave me any issues (I didn't use the disk there either but not sure why - maybe I knew this was broken beforehand and did not care)

Thanks for the help/comfort guys

How dumb am I then

>Not having 128GB if RAM.

Why is it other people's fault that you can't afford things?

Literally Apple user dumb

unused RAM is wasted RAM

The problem wasn't the missing 12 GiB but mostly that it was causing weird hangups where like my mouse would go slow and shit and games were choppy even if running at 90+ fps

no

why the fuck dont you have at least a terabyte of ssd storage

I'm poor lmao
I've got a 1tb in my laptop, just too lazy to reinstall

>buys x99 motherboard
>buys 64gb of ram
>buys a fucking broadwell-e
>buys 3 rog 1440p 144hz monitors
>buys a gtx 1080
>cant afford a few hundred worth of ssd storage

Those backround tasks are making my inner RAM Nazi cry tears of blood. Gas the processes.

It's all stuff I use, dude

I asked you for this earlier and grabbed it after the thread died, I just wanted to say thanks lad. I needed to remember it.

Why is Spotify such a hog? What does it even do?

I'm going to throw another one in there eventually lmao don't worry
SSD prices were really high when I was buying, didn't want to drop 400 on a 1tb

I bet it has something to do with their ui, don't they embed webkit to display it like all the other hip new programs?

It wouldn't surprise me. What a big piece of shit.

explain this image,

thanks.

in Sup Forums? like two months.

can you explain or just spout meems

The image explains how a user felt when he saw FrozenVoid posts

>killer network manager
Update your network drivers from the official website.
There's a memory leak that's causing your issue. I've seen this happen before.
Nothing to do with windows.

lurk more, post less

Wipe your drool.

>Windows 10

>Buy ram
>Complain when OS usesRAM to make things faster
>Drumpf blabla codes.

Found your problem

This is why /tpg/ has the most knowledgeable users on this board.

It's how I feel when seeing you in here with your irrelevant to the thread tripcode.

but memory leak is wasted ram too

>winblows 10
You desereve the shit you're going through. Wait, aren't you the same "the real !jordan" who's praising windows 10 in every thread? Split personality disorder?

Same guy, but not a user of the Windows Reality Distortion Field. Sometimes there's problems and I have the BALLS to admit it.

BTW I fixed the problem, it was a fucked up sata cable

What's the latest branch like for you? I had the compressed memory store being pretty leaky on TH2 but RS1 seems to be quite alright
