R7 1700 8 core 16 thread
$150-200 AM4 x370 motherboard
16gb 3200MHz RAM
RX 480 8gb
650w+ gold PSU
Fractal meme case.

Figure it out for yourself you fucking imbecile.

Forgot SSD/HDD. Whatever.
Replace ryzen with some shitty locked i5 and a cheapo motherboard and there's your $1k build.

thank you for your help :)

logicalincrements.com

Motherboard - MSI PC mate Z170A ($100)
CPU - i7 6700k $300
RAM - G.Skill Ripjaws V 2x8Gb ($120)
SSD - Samsung 850 Evo ($90)
HD - Hitachi 1Tb ($50)
GPU - RX480 8Gb ($220)
Thermaltake case with PSU and fans ($70)

Total $950

Or you could wait for Ryzen

>CPU - i7 6700k $300

swap the 480s with 1060s OP. Cuda enhanced rendering is faster as much as I hate nvidia for this move but it's bretty good. Also there's more recording shit biased towards nvidia.

>Getting an i7 right now
>Knowing it will be drastically underpowered in a week compared to the competition
>Knowing it will be reduced to a paperweight by the end of the year when Cannon and Coffee Lake comes out

No game will have problems on a Ryzen CPU, and Ryzen will render 2-3x faster compared to kaby lake, It also has a lower TDP.

$310 with free shipping on Amazon?

Memes aside, 480 is better in gaems (drivers wise) but 1060 is good too.

I know the 480 is better in every vidya benchmark and I love it for that! But the problem arises when OP wants to render something and doesn't get the CUDA speed boost. 1060480 for 3D Rendering/Video Rendering. It's honestly sad nvidia isn't opensourced.

It's not better in games, it's pretty neck and neck.
But you know the AMD card will end up outperforming it in a few months.

That's true, but by that exact logic, it would be a fools mistake to choose the i7 instead of the Ryzen

problem is, I'm getting the "buy/build now" feel from OP and Ryzen is currently in preorder stage.

yep i want to finish it as soon as possible
how long till ryzen comes out?

mykancolle.com/?post=1362

Can't wait 5 days?

PS. you can OC the 1700 to the same clocks as 1800x stock
