Ryzen crashes at 4.1GHz OC

Well it sure was fun while it lasted.
This is the power of the 1800X $500 Ryzen, it crashes at 4.1GHz.

boy I feel bad for the idiots that pre-ordered this

Remember to hide and sage shill threads!

>defending them even after this
And you guys cry about Intelfags brand loyalty, the cpu can't go 100mhz above the boost clock without crashing

>CRASHES AT 4.1 ON WC SYSTEM

>DAMAGE CONTROL

Who said it crashed retard
Wait for official benchmarks and you will see Intels bankruptcy soon

see It crashed.

>believing pre-release crashes

>screen goes off just after OC and starting rendering shit
what could it be

The power of ryzen was too much for Windows to handle.

>look mom, third time I post this xDDDDDDD
Sage, report and hide.

19:40
desu looks like the video feed just cuts out, he keeps talking about the demo after the projector stops

my intel cpus do that too when they don't get enough voltage

Another quality autistic Sup Forums post.

He literally says that crashes are to be expected at a live event.
Jesus Christ you guys are blind deaf and dumb when it comes to ryzen

Let's wait until some REAL CPUS get into consumers hands before we believe these official sponsored crashes by AMD

Yeah, the feed, dumbass. Windows 10 BSODs have text and a frowny face on them.

ITT faggots that don't realize every CPU purchase is just a ticket in the silicon lottery

Not always

>I never OC'd a CPU and it shows

that's a AMD event, where they selected the best ones they had, and this is the result
100mhz increase and a crash

isn't this how you OC?
>moar Ghz
>benchmark
>BSOD? add moar voltage
>benchmark, stable?
rinse repeat.

Its unfortunate that it crashed, but I don't think its hardware caused crash, more like a software one.

Trolling aside, AMD proved that they using live benchmarks not premade videos with unknown setup.

I mean that CPU must been out for testing for 2 days straight (+ stress test before that)

Who gives a shit about overclocking? It's a remnant of eons ago when hackers would attempt to wring every ounce of free performance out of their hardware because it was generally fucking expensive to obtain (orders of magnitude more than today). Nowadays it's nothing more than a fucking dick-waving contest for small penises that want an extra 5fps in cowadooty or whatever at the cost of 100000watts per second and drastically reduced silicon lifetime.

Get a brain morans.

t. satisfied intel owner that isn't upgrading & doesn't overclock because he isn't a gaymer fag

>Who gives a shit about overclocking?
This is the current state of the AMD shill

>Who gives a shit about overclocking?
A lot of people do. Especially on this board and especially since AMD has made note of the fact that every Ryzen chip they sell will be multiplier unlocked.

Don't be so fucking stupid next time. Shit.

Can't you read you spastic? I own an Intel and not upgrading.

>A lot of people do

You mean a lot of the same type of retard that just had to have SLI setups? I can believe it.

Don't be so fucking predictable, consumer whore. Put your panties back on.

>uses the fact that the chips are unlocked as a selling point
>they can't even OC 100mhz
hahahahaha
I guess at least you guys can't downclock it so your house won't burn down

I've your "story". All you AMDrones have one

They'll run less hot than intel chips because better TIM

sure they will, just like they have great yields right?
hahahahaha

I suppose if i showed you proof you'd also not believe that eh? Let me guess, I bet you voted for Hillary?

If the yields were poor we'd have r3 and 5 launching first you retard

>he voted for the Orange Dorito Hitler
>he's proud of that
oh wow

Yes, Sup Forums doesn't overclock, you'll see this by how many people pay more for the XFR CPUs, just like how in spec threads you see people with stock i5k and i7k cpus.

Explain the 4.1 crash
you can't

I don't live in the states so no, I could not vote. So you probably were a CNN-believing Hillary supporter (ie. non-thinking retard). Wow, feel proud. I can predict you like a book. All you dummies are the same.

My i5 3570k crashes at 4.1 with stock voltage.

It means absolutely nothing unless you know what voltage they were using. If anything it means they didn't feel out and establish what the chip was capable of before they went on stage.

I'm not a gaymer, I'm straight.

>Who gives a shit about overclocking? actually the reasons are the same. stop baiting me :(

Overclocking is literally the only hope of ever being able to utilize 120hz or greater monitors to their best potential, in even games 3 years old.

Just because you're a faggot doesn't mean everybody is gay.

>Overclocking is literally

Stopped reading right there. It is obvious you're one of those silly dweebs that fell for the overclocking fad, then SLI meme, then G-Sync, then probably 4K etc. etc. You're a silly bitch consumer whore. Just go waste your money you gaymer dildo faggot.

All memeing aside aren't bsods a normal part of OC'ing?

Some chips can be OC'd to 1GHz, some none at all, and most do 200-400 MHz extra right?

Why is everyone expecting all ryzen chips to be OC'able to 5GHz at 1.2v? This has never been the case for any intel chips.

but overclocking is actually a way to save money, it's the opposite of consumerism

not him btw

I'm the opposite of a consumer whore you retard, unless you mean someone that saves money by not being an idiot as your definition of consumer whore.

My $900 build at the time out performed what you could build stock for $1500.

AMD are like niggers. Everyone says "give them a chance to show us that they are better than everyone thinks they are. Then they actually start acting in a likeable way and everyone says "Hey look they actually are doing well we love em. Then it all goes shit coz jamal got busted by Tyrone for selling shitty drugs that dont get anyone high

>but overclocking is actually a way to save money, it's the opposite of consumerism

Lol no. Not if you destroy your equipment in the near or long term. Also, running costs can be higher due to power usage or replacing damaged components due to oc.

>My $900 build at the time out performed what you could build stock for $1500.

I dgaf. You're still a consumer whore - you're even trying to justify your e-penis to me now, lmao. Fuck sake Shlomo, calm down. What are you, 14? I'll bet you're wearing your gaymer glasses right now frothing with rage. Better grab a bag of Doritos fatty.

calm your tittays that was just and engineering sample, they'll have that fleshed out for release

just a 500$ cpu with full water cooling setup

you know killed the entire system

couldn't restart or anything

I've overclocked every build I've ever done for 20 years. Zero hardware failures, not even a hdd. There are some builds that are over 10 years old still being used full time - my sister uses a q6600 2.4ghz @ 3.5ghz and my mom uses an athlon 64 2.2ghz @ 2.8ghz. A Tualatin Celeron 1.2ghz @ 1.8ghz was just recently retired by my aunt - i built that in 2003.

Power is fucking nothing because they still have power savings functions so the overclocked speed is used maybe 10% of the time.

The full system wattage of the A64 system idle is 48w and my i5 3570k @ 4.4ghz idles at 62w. If you can't power a fucking lightbulb kill yourself.

Why the fuck is there zootopia furry porn in the related

...

Lmao you people need to calm the fuck down

this is what happens when you abuse the fuck out of h1b visas and hire an army of cheap curry niggers for labor. that's why their drivers have been so shit historically. there was one white guy leading them this time though so maybe it wont be a total disaster as usual with them

then again intel are literally jews so i'm not sure which is worse

>I've overclocked....

Still justifying that e-penis. Pic related is you right now.

...

HAHAHAHAHAHA RYZEN DOA

I retract my statement yesterday.

I'll hold onto my 7700k

Enjoy your shit temps or risk destroying your CPU replacing the shitty TIM intel jizzed in.

Either it crashed or its cb score is shit

>intel. not even once.

D E L I D
E
L
I
D

are you asking for help user?

just shut up you fucking retard

DELET THIS

Kind of new to this crap, but isn't 4.1ghz on all 8 cores pretty impressive?

>91 at 5.3ghz on air

he'll be fine with 4.8ghz
Ryzen on the other hand is dead at 4.1ghz and doesn't even have decent ddr4 support or none at all

100mhz in the overclock world is fucking nothing.

The chips are already fast as fuck out of the box and revisions will either give us more OC headroom or not.

Either way i am still buying it, OC nerds can go sit on a LN2 canister they love so much and go watercool their routers

for the 1700 yes
for the 1800x no

Yes its very impressive.

Sup Forumsaymer spergs and OC benchclocking retards are just downplaying it because they are shitel shills

Intel can barely manage 4.x stable either and uses way more power

Ladies first, Hillary.

>tfw 1700 only support 2 ddr4 sticks up to 3400mhz
>unstable with dual channel

shit man

problem after problem close to launch and reviews

HAHAHHAA FUCKING RIPOFF, No wonder why 1800x is a lowkey chip

It's nothing. Only a minor blip.

You try creating a CPU from scratch with over 50% IPC increase and have it flawless when the worlds' eyes are on it.

>muh GHz
Is it the early 2000s again?

I sometimes wonder how you shills sleep at night after lying about something as stupid as computer parts all day long.

With my arms wrapped around my tear and cum soaked body pillow.

>]
You're making us look bad.

>Intel can barely manage 4.x stable either
even intel 8c can easily manage 4.2

keep wondering
slow retarded people like you get it always a bit later

But I bought 4 8GB DDR4 3000Mhz sticks.
Do I have to return 2? I'm not even sure they'll take back just two.
FFS ryzen

Yes, it is. Most i7-5960X few overclocks above 4 GHz on all cores I heard of required the user to crank the voltage beyond 1.4.

I wish all ayymdrones would get a tripcode
Thank you and goodbye

Saved to be posted daily. Thanks.

Damn intelli-kikes

you probably still could use them but only at 2133/2400 and lower latency
not sure about dual channel 3000mhz on all

>oh no, something that happens all the time
So raise the voltage and try again. Big deal.

Hmmm, they never mentioned the voltage they were using and the retards probably didn't test it before the demo.

Fuck me, the price dropped even in the Italian Amazon store.

tfw hes using windows

unix or linux brosk

yes, the super-trustrowthy voice of pmurphy8811, posted in a thread on a PC Gaming website. i'm sure this exact situation actually happened as described.

and if you believe that, I have a (sandy) bridge to sell you.

neo-Sup Forums can't into overclocking

Ad hominem. Dismissed.

>All memeing aside aren't bsods a normal part of OC'ing?
They're
>Why is everyone expecting all ryzen chips to be OC'able to 5GHz at 1.2v? This has never been the case for any intel chips.
Ryzen's OC'ing features are completely different from any Intel chips

EU return policy, I can just send it back if I don't like it :]]

AMD making the same mistakes they made last time, moar cores and shitty performance

A writer for computerbase is claiming on their forums that they're also crashing when overclocking. It may be a bug in the Ryzen Master software.
Others have stated they have no issue, and are hitting 4.3 to 4.5ghz on all cores without issue. MSI's documentation for some of their boards will auto OC to over 4ghz with the press of a single button. So something is up somewhere, likely the software.

Wow, you're everywhere. Thanks for the great job!
