Is it worth it? Should I go for it? It's used

Is it worth it? Should I go for it? It's used.

>he fell for the thinkpad meme

I have a t520. I like it

not yet, but i'm about to.

convince me not to do it

if you're going to go for a t520 or w520 might as well get it with a quadcore

I have a T420, I would have preferred to get an X220. A 15" laptop is 2big IMO

this
even t420 is too big for a laptop

>having baby hands

Are you a bad enough dude to carry around a 15" portable computer?

>no FHD
>no 16GiB
>no SSD
>no i7 QM

It should have better upgrades for that price.

>having low confidence

Get the i7 version. I have the i5 version (got it for really cheap), it isn't slow but if you get the i7 one you'll probably don't have to upgrade in at least 4 years.

This lmfao

Get a used one, OP

user you're not really considering a HDD over a SSD on a laptop are you?

If you're going to go 15" then don't buy a T520, go for a W520 instead, they're way better.

What did he mean by this

Hand size is completely irrelevant you dumb nigger, I'd rather lug around a 12" laptop for shitposting and compiling useless C meme code than a 14" laptop with an extended battery

what's wrong with HDD on a laptop?

you dumb fag with the i7 you get like +7% more performance in exchange for shittier battery life and +10C temps.

noise and vibrations.

Conservation of angular momentum.

Thinkpads are cheap Chinese laptops with no remarkable qualities and worse-than-average failure rates (ratings are about on par with Dell), but since Sup Forums is such a consumerist sucker and because the brand was once owned by IBM like 20 years ago, they fall for this shit.

If it's dramatically cheaper than the next best equivalent laptop it might be fine for you, but you're better off with a highly-rated ASUS.

>you're better off with a highly-rated ASUS.

lmao
