Bitwig 2 has been released

Bitwig 2 has been released.

Pretty impressed so far, love the VST3 support. Hopefully it will make VST vendors make their plugins available on Linux so I can move away from Wangblows.

>When VST support is a huge defining update
This is reason all over again
Just use real daws

What about video support? Stil nothing?

It always supported VST you moron but now it supports VST3 which for example makes sidechaining piss easy.

isnt it too expensive? i doubt one can find a keygen or crack for it

>VST3 support isn't "VST support"
The state of Linux DAWs

There are not many DAWs that fully support VST3. I can already tell you have no clue about music production. The only ones had been Cubase and Studio One so far. Reaper recently added VST3 and FL Studio still doesn't fully support VST3.

>VST
>not Audio Units

This is the state of hobbyists.

AU is literally the worst plugin format in the business, by far.

>using gimped compatibility

So why don't you use ReWire so you can get full format functionality in a DAW that isn't garbage?

dont tell any pros you've resorted to this rock bottom

You literally don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Did you just google that?

There's literally nothing wrong with using DAWs through ReWire, it's one of the better ways to weasel your way into support

Why
Don't
You
Use
ReWire?
If you knew what it was you would've completely understood my suggestion

But ReWire has nothing to do with what we are talking about right now. You claimed VST3 support would be obligatory while there are still DAWs that still don't support it (Ableton for example).
ReWire works for collecting ideas but as your project gets larger all it does is fucking confuse you.

You can ReWire Bitwig's support to Abletons workflow, using both DAWs on a software level but really only using Ableton as a final UI
It's easy to keep two DAWs organized, I basically exclusively use ReWired Daws (Renoise for sample editing and micromanagement, and Ableton because it's not as autistic)

>Renoise
>When you're trying to write a song for a grill but can't remember if the cube root of 4096 equals 0 or F

Is it still javashit?

Its 10 you brainlet

That's pretty much the only reason it worked on linux in the first place

I hope bigwig does good
It's obviously just an early bad Ableton clone
(((But that's what I need to escape windows)))

It got wavey midi quantization patterns in it tho. Beat that ableton
