You've grown old. You were once on top of the world but now you see your limelight stolen by those younger. You have been forgotten. But I want you to know that I have always loved you and I still do. And even though I could not afford you then, I can buy you at a discount now.
So dry those tears and let's go home.

Mine died last week. Screen shattered because a drop, then won't turn on. While it is on maintenance, I think it is time to move on.

These last three years were awesome! I had a Zerolemon case that made my Nexus 5 so sturdy... but now he died like a hero.

I'm using a phone from 2010, and it still works

I'm still using my N5 that I picked up at launch, and its still going strong.

Only complaints:
Camera resolution, and battery.

Same. I replaced the battery a year ago and it could really use more RAM, but other than that it is A-OK

Mine died a couple of weeks ago for the same reason.
Poor thing.

Got a Moto G4 Plus to replace it, still pretty much stock android and I flashed it with it's official nougat upgrade. It's comfy, but I miss the smaller size of the Nexus 5.

my battery swelled since i kept in on the qi charger for half a year and didn't use it. replace the battery for under $5. now it's back at the charger, unplugged though.

Still loving mine to death, running Copperhead OS for dem security features. Even with that extra shit running it never lags. Can't imagine having to upgrade any time soon.

>Battery

Have some fun and use a dremel to make space for a standard LG G2 battery. This will net you a 30% battery capacity increase.

Other than the battery, camera quality and the only okay screen. LG and their fucking power button is what killed it truly.

>>no micro sd
>>You were once on top of the world
nexus 5 was never on top of the world

I'd still use it if it had microsd... 16gb isn't anywhere near enough in 2014, and is unusable in 2017.

As far as processing power... They sell econo-phones that benchmark lower than it for $130 still.

lmao i use 16GB Redmi Note 3 and its more than enough, not even using a microsd

stop storing porn and other useless garbage on your phone, you can stream it almost all

except if you are american with shitty mobile net and datacaps, of course

Nice modding.

Data caps are very real in Germany.
I will never buy a phone without a microSD slot.

I also went from hammerhead to athene. It's a decent replacement, especially if you never used NFC or wireless charging. I liked hammerhead's size better though, don't know why everyone thinks we need these phablet monstrosities.

Mine had a power button failure I guess, kept on rebooting. still the bestest phone I had, now I'm stuck with a free iPhone I got.

Is there anything that's a decent replacement for the N5?

>Camera resolution
its good if you're autistic enough to shoot RAW

Yup. Didn't make use of either of those technologies. I do appreciate the fingerprint scanner though and have set it up to both lock and unlock the phone.

>tfw typing this post using my N4
Still going strong.

aww

My Nexus 4 is still alive

what are you, 1998 born?

Nexus 4 is the best phone of 2010-2016, persiod.

>not the best phone
>has a lot of problems
>terrible battery life, horrible performance
>the LG G2 spanked the Nexus 4 senseless and was everything the Nexus 5 was supposed to be and more
>can't even spell period correctly
>stupid fucking people will be the death of us all

Does copperhead still run on the original nexus 5? I have it on my 5x but I thought they stopped supporting the nexus 5

That phone sucked. Shittiest battery ever

not even the problem. the SoC, display, and other various components are all outdated. They are far less efficient than the current models.
