Hey Sup Forums, I'm not that good with computers. My friend gave me this desktop for free (rich piece of shit) after building his own. It's pretty decent. Can run most games at high settings with 60fps. What should I upgrade to make it more future proof?
I know, I know.
>amd cpu and a motherboard that only supports amd
I'm gonna stick with amd for now since I don't feel like replacing the mother board. So should I upgrade the 1060 3gb to 6gb or just buy a 1080 with a new AMD CPU and PSU?

>rich piece of shit Tell him and post results

Don't future proof an somewhat old system. Save money and replace the whole thing when you need it (2-3 years from now, maybe add more RAM if necessary).
Jonathan Ortiz
You're going to have to change your motherboard whether you like it or not. If you want to get a 1080, wait for ryzen and get a decent CPU then. DO NOT GET A 9590 OR ANYTHING ABOVE AN 8350.
Ryan Baker
It's 2 weeks old.
>DO NOT GET A 9590 OR ANYTHING ABOVE AN 8350
So what should I get? Also I'm just going to get a 1060 with 6gb of vram.
Bentley Morgan
Take the GTX 1060 and 128GB SSD, throw everything else out and build a Ryzen system.
Christopher Fisher
fuck these replies user. What do you even do right now? If you want to play shitty esports gayming, you have plenty.
literally this. if you dont need to do anything that needs more, just wait 2-3 years and build a new rig
Ethan Hernandez
Not worth it. Why waste hundreds of bucks on DDR4, board and CPU for a little more CPU power in a gaming system. Are you retarded? If anything, upgrade the GPU when it runs into limits.
Joshua Flores
You're retarded.
Christopher Peterson
8350 is already bottlenecking the 1060, and the 9590 is just a piece of shit.
If you want better gaymen performance you need to toss the bulldozer in the trash.
Ethan Scott
You know, it's a lot easier to be nice in life but you're all just big bullies :(~! hmph~! :(
Adam Kelly
>failed cpu lineup Ryzen is a trap OP, don't listen to stupid ass shit advice.
Andrew Davis
Still not worth it. OP doesn't seem to be some hardcore frame rate hunter, so why bother?
Austin Morales
That's piledriver fampai
Jayden Cruz
It should be pretty good for awhile. If anything, buy the best GPU you can get. That way, you can use it when you do upgrade to something better. Most of this gaming shit only goes so far and rapidly turns into throwing money out the window for ridiculously minor returns.
Colton Reed
A shit by any other name is still a shit
Jace Nelson
1060/3, fishera, single channel. it's yours. nobody that could lego together a pc would buy that. oh nvm you're trolling.
John Peterson
>8350 >970 board
Bentley Phillips
Good goyem, listen to the Intel shill.
Daniel Rivera
What's the problem? Please explain.
Isaac Reed
>be rich >build a computer >Buy only the most budget of components
Somethings not quite right with your story user
Parker Perry
He didn't build that one dumbfuck.
Connor Martinez
If you try to OC you'll probably hit a wall at 4.4GHz. This is important, because the 8350 is a piece of shit and you want to squeeze out every little bit of performance you can. A 990FX board would allow you to hit at least 4.8GHz.
Andrew Reyes
Don't fall for le overclocking maymay. kys's
Henry Garcia
get a second stick of ram to get dual channel memory going at least and a 1080p monitor, i wouldn't put any more into it than that. ded platform
