If you can't see, the max temp 1080ti got in all 3 benches:

Fire Strike Extreme: 59c

Time Spy: 63c

Fire Strike Ultra: 59c

For a blower style card, that's pretty cool.

Goin' full retard SLI on this

as close to a Titan as a Ti has gotten (inb4 nvidiot goym)

just missing a gb of ram.

You don't gain anything from SLI other than a higher electricity bill.

Damn that seems almost too good

Except the 780 Ti was more powerful than the original Titan. The 1080 Ti is only so close to the Titan XP because that wasn't using the full chip in the first place, so there wasn't much room to cut things back further.

Could someone compare these to something so I have some form of a baseline?

Yeah I've gone SLI before and it's mostly dog shit until drivers are supported or never ever work.

Only reason I'm in for two is cause I'm gonna be without a graphics card for a few weeks while waiting for EVGA step-up.

Ti's usually clock faster but the appeal of the Titan editions (4 me) has always been increased memory vs the Ti editions, and this time it's just 1 GB less out of 12.

This is the closest that 4k/60fps has gotten to 'affordable'.

I would love to get nvidia card for my build but their gimping tendecy of older cards is really bothering me. I'll just wait for VEGA/Navi and see if AMD can keep up.

wow, I can run DOOM in 140 fps instead of 120 on a regular 1080

4 more and the gaymer fanboys will cum their razr underwear

>speculation
I think Nvidia releasing a Ti this close to a Titan (-1 GB ram) indicates that their next tier of ram will go something like

1160 8gb
1170 12gb
1180 16gb
1180 ti 16/20gb?
Titan Volta 24gb

juss speculation cause their current pascal workstation flagship is 24gb, and Titans are cut down versions of those.

Eh, it loses in Firestrike Extreme but wins in Firestrike Ultra and Timespy?

I dunno what to think.

But what if that's at 4000rpm and 46dB?

Context yo.

>just bought a 1070 recently
>it's already outdated by a card that's 2x the performance
Oh fuck off.

>40-45% faster
>2x faster

Not good at math, are you?

>firestrike
really?

The 1070 averages around 8000.
Sure the 1080ti doesn't have 16000 but it's called approximation. Not good at math, are you?

>faster
>also costs much more
fuck off

why do you give a fuck about price tho? are you in the big boys league or not?

Sounds like it bottlenecks somewhere

my 980 ti hits 79c when gaming at 1450MHz. Jesus.

you're the one who can't do math dumbass

No, you are, fuckface.

I'm confused. How is that good? 980 does 12k meanwhile a next generation + ti branding does 5k more?

Those are combined graphics + cpu physics scores. You wanna be looking at the isolated graphics score on 3dmark.

both of you are dumb

that's Firestrike, not Extreme or Ultra

you sure look dumb now

I got this on my 1080, this was just after the system was built.

I bet it's louder than a 290X reference cooler
