hi, i'm from /ic/ because the sticky said to come here for drawing tablet questions.
i have a huion 1060 pro and i'm not really happy with it. maybe it's the drivers/software, but it seems to lag in photoshop cs6 (will more often than not draw a small segment of a line completely straight) and paint tool sai. sometimes doesn't respond at all for a few seconds. also stuck with cursor position being relative rather than absolute (active surface scaled to screen).
i don't really know how to fix this and i had a wacom bamboo before and never had a problem, so i'm thinking of just dropping money on a new intuos tablet entirely.
is the intuos line my best bet? or does anyone have any idea how to fix this ching chong shit?
also, why the fuck do screen tablets cost so much if they're basically just touch tablets with more sensitivity levels and come bundled with a pen?
I'm tired of giving out non wacom reccomendations. Ive tried them myself and they're usually. shit. My old dusty ass bamboo has never ever had a problem. yet all of my friends stuff has issues all over the damn place

just get a wacom, they're just simply the best you can get. I have a screen tablet(cintiq) myself, yeah, they're expensive but well worth the money. The intuos I have I bought back in 2012, and have used it every day since, its a bit worn, but still works great.

Git gud, scrub. Had the same tablet for over a year, and I haven't experienced one of your issues. The only thing I miss was the automatic button context switching depending on what software you're using.
Adam Powell
no OP but what's the absolute best wacom I can get for $40?

Mods are fags, feel free to disregard the sticky and ask /ic/ anyway.
I had the same issue with my Intuos4 and I solved that by going through a bunch of settings regarding tablet input and turned off the gestures Windows 7 tried to force on me at the time. It was literally just that, nothing wrong with the tablet or its drivers. I don't know if that's the case for you, but do some more digging around if you haven't considered it seriously. Especially if it happens with several software.
>also stuck with cursor position being relative rather than absolute I had that with my Bamboo. Fixed it by unplugging and re-plugging the tablet or rebooting the PC. Still have no idea what caused it.
If you fail to fix it by yourself, contact customer service before abandoning the tablet for an expensive one.

Also Wacom's monopoly. Btw i heard good things about UC-Logic Artisul D13 being better than the Cintiq 13HD it clones. But the issue with most of these isn't the hardware, it's always the drivers...

OP here. This worked. Thank u :3

This. Had a Bamboo and upgraded to an intuous pro a few years ago. Never any problems.

My wacom one doesn't have this problem

Bought an intuos large from classifieds last saturday, 270€ with brand new unpacked stylus
I wanted a Cintiq because I read dozens shitreviews saying "muh so difficult to sync eye on the screen and hand on the tablet"
It's literally piss easy and the large is WAY enough for working on my 27" 1440p screen

Just get a wacom, and if you can, go for a cintiq. Drawing on screen is the way to go. Also get an ipad pro with apple pencil so grills be mirin while chilling at starbucks.

Yeah, Sup Forums should be for video games, graphics cards, and iPhones obviously.

I have a chink tablet and it's the horrible chink windows drivers. The hardware is actually excellent, much more accurate and fluid than my bamboo.
I've heard that GNU/Linux has good open source drivers for most chink tablets, so that might be your incentive to finally switch.
As for me, I just went back to my bamboo after struggling with drivers for too long.
