12.1 inches is the absolute optimal size for a laptop

12.1 inches is the absolute optimal size for a laptop.
Big enough to be useful, small enough to be portable and fit in your bag.

Are there any recent-ish 12.1" laptops that just feel sturdy as fuck with keyboards that reach all the way to the ends of the laptop with no ugly bezels?

tits or gtfo

what kind of tiny-ass bag do you have that you can't fit a 15" laptop in it?

i don't carry a purse or a manchild backpack

touchpad ruins it. X200 is the king

I think they made an HP envy 12" or 13" with an A10 in it. Probably cheap.

Honestly 15" is king senpai. If you want 5:4 aspect then you might be SOL though.

XPS 13/Macbook Air are both 12.something with super thin bezels.

Mah nigga

I could put a 17" laptop in my bag, that doesn't mean I'm dumb enough to do so.

The x201 can be configured with a 1440x900 screen, 8GB of RAM and a 2.66ghz i7, what do you need that's "more modern" than that?

Good news, the x200 palmrest can be snapped right into place on the x201

I don't know man. I rather have pic related before any new crap that gets released today.

idk but I want that wallpaper

What model is that?

NEVERMIND

I am fucking stupid

Not OP, but I have it here.

Chromebook C201

install Arch Linux
install dwm

done

you happy man

good keyboard
good screen
decent performance
fucking cheap
looks good

lul

why can't I find anything about this model? Only thing close I can find is the x300.

>not in the 14 inch 16x10 master race club

what a fucking scrub enjoy your 12 inch manlet laptop

Except for the part where holding certain keys wrong will wipe your os.

It's a custom x300 modded with the kb from an x220. You can do it, but it's not worth it imo, too many things can go wrong, the fn keys for things like sleep, lock no longer do what they say they do.

thx

Panasonic Let's Note SZ model. Exactly 12.1". The VAIO S11 sold in Japan is 11.6".

Do you have one without the waifu trash?

12" is better in a 4:3 or 3:2 aspect ratio.

>no ultrabay built in
>no full size keyboard
>shitty and loud cooling
fuck off x series niggers

Does it have good linux compatibility?

ah

so much for that then

>ultrabay
how many drives you need in a laptop? 2 is enough for me thx
>full size keyboard
you mean with a numberpad? I'm willing to make that sacrifice for the smaller lighter form factor
>shitty and loud cooling
I own an x220 and have zero issues with cooling, I don't think I've heard it even once. this is with the i7 option

It's 12 inches, sacrifices must be made.
The biggest inconvenience is complete disassembly of the laptop (display included) to get to the heat pipe and fan assembly, which is upside down and beneath the motherboard.

On the T4xx models, it's right there as soon as you take off the keyboard.

custom x230 with the XPS 13 screen and you can also choose to have the x220 keyboard in it. There's also a custom x60, the x62. Search around.

You want the Lets note SZ.
>12.1'' 16:10 display
>Less than 1KG
>7th gen core i5/7 u processors
>User replaceable battery that allows extended battery
>Optical drive

Now fly to Japan and buy it.

I don't know about these specific models, but the older let's note I encountered had shitty linux compatibility.

>panasonic.jp/pc/products/sz6h/
>nearly NZD$3000

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

these things look like they're made from cheap and shitty plastic

>NZD

>2000 bucks
>optical drive
no.
But I admit it looks AESTHETIC as Fuck

Optical drive's a pro

I can't even remember the last time I used an optical drive in a computer.

Congrats

I agree, OP. I agree.
