13" or 15" laptop? I can't decide!!!
13" or 15" laptop? I can't decide!!!
what are you going to be using it for and where?
13
13'' makes your penis look bigger when you use your monitor as a scale when you take dick picks
Writing papers, programming, gaming, watching videos, school work, etc. Taking to class, library, home on breaks.
whatever size a x220s screen is
the smaller it is the more often you will use it. that can work for or against you
>an inch of raw cookie dough
fucking disgusting. replace it with a brownie, then you'd have something equally over the top but at least somewhat edible
>gaming
>13"
How do you even come to this conclusion?
13" and a big monitor for your dorm room
Oh forgot to add, I already have a desktop in my dorm. Looking for something to supplement it, but still powerful enough to do what I want when I'm not able to bring it around, like over breaks.
if you already have a desktop, get a 13" inch then
I had a 15" laptop that I carried around to lectures and it was a HUGE pain in the arse
Replaced it with a Surface Pro 3 and love the size
Anything lower than 15 is unusable. Really, this is one of those many cases where bigger = better.
When did you have your 15"? compared to years ago 15" laptops now aren't nearly as cumbersome. Look at the XPS 15 for example.
15" is borderline ultraportable desktop
12"
Raw cookiedough is the greatest thing man has ever conceived.
I find ~16,5 inches laptops to be the best.
14"
>I can't decide!!!
The fuck do you want us to do then? Jesus Christ, this whole board is dumb as fuck. Why are people even replying?
you must be a big guy
>what do you want us to do
Provide opinions to aid my decision. Are you retarded?
Always 13" bro
13. 15 completely defeats the purpose of a laptop.
I'm a woman and actually quite small :3 I weight ~47-48kg and 175cm tall. Although I don't see how this has anything to do with one person's size.
Smaller the better. Get an xps 13, 15 inch screen in a 13 inch body.
That makes no sense. The screen doesn't magically get bigger. The XPS 13 is a 13" screen in a 11" body. The XPS 15 is a 15" screen in a 14" body.
get the fuck out of here
>Get an xps 13, 15 inch screen in a 13 inch body.
do you mean "Get an xps 15, 15 inch screen in a 13 inch body"?
No :3
12.1"
it's a two inch difference. who cares? unless you have noodle arms and can't carry a fucking 15 inch laptop.
These made me realise that I'm too fucking old for Sup Forums, because I can't see shit at sizes that small.
This 10 inch screen got me through college. Yeah, I had a desktop at home also, but still this is all you need.
this you fucking idiot
But that's wrong, you damned mong.
>Writing papers,
>programming
>watching videos,
>school work, etc.
>Taking to class, library, home on breaks.
Literally doesn't matter. Get the smallest if you don't want to carry much, but studies have shown that writing down notes by hand is more conducive to taking in information.
Good luck writing down notes on hand from slides that transition before you can even get half of them down in summarized fashion.
Ask the lecturer for a copy of the slides.
Then you just take down the notes that are important.
You're not meant to scrawl down everything that comes out of the tutor's mouth, but listen and then note down what they say in a shortened way that you would understand. That way you take it on board more.
Had a 11" for mine. Ended up buying an old screen and a cheap keyboard and mouse for when using at "home". Ended up spending less than £100 for the equipment. It still works and I use it just off to the side for IRC and e-mail. Just don't have the heart to get rid of it.
>ask the lecturer for a copy of the slides
If only it were that simple.
Why wouldn't it be? How much are you fucking paying that they wont give you some slides?
It is.
You'd be surprised at how stubborn some professors are user(s)
So go to the dean. It's their fucking job to educate you.
There's this thing called DPI scaling
resolution shouldn't affect readability
Yeah I understand that. My netbook is so outdated yet I don't have the heart to get rid of it. I even have it ready for a power outage or something with games. Haven't had an outage longer than 10 minutes in over a year.
Jesus user, my dad's 49 and he even uses a 12" laptop
