GPU Advice
I've never heard of that company which isn't a good sign. Get something from Asus or someone.
This is also an option
Evga 1080 or 1070, depending on the res you play at
1920x1080
Bump
Literally just get a 480 or an r9 fury from Newegg or Amazon for 270 (forget which site)
Why should I choose that over a 1080? Cost, efficiency, similar performance? Genuinely asking
He is an AMD shill and is desperate for you to spend money on an AMD product. The RX480 is nowhere similar to the 1080, it is aimed at an entirely different audience.
Should I consider just getting a 1070 considering my budget? Is performance much different between a 1070 and 1080?
hooww the fuck is it so cheap. seems fishy.
OP here yea it was dodgy as fuck not buying it
There's no point getting a 1080 unless you want 4k or very high refresh rates. Get a 1070 for anything else.
Do your own research though, this is from memory of benchmark from when the cards first came out. Look at the performance for the games you play and pick what's apropriate. I've heard the 1070 is a very good price/performance card though.
Don't get memed into buying a 10XX. They're good no doubt, but nVidia is clearing their shelves and baiting people into buying them before Vega releases and they have to lower prices before Volta.
Just wait for vega, its coming out next month and there are already leaked images of press kits being prepared
>wait vega
lol

BUT MOMMY I WANT IT NOWWWWW
Whats vega? The new Nvidia line?
Go with the 1070 it's in your budget...
it's a kick ass card
Any mainstream manufacturer is ok just pick a cooler you like in a price you like
A rebrand of AMD's 4XX Series
Volta (Nvidia's new line) is coming out on 2018. My guess they'll rebrand this year too. So get a 1070 if you plan to play on 1080p or a 1080 if you wanna play in higher res
dude... you don't need a 1070 for 1080p
1060 is nice for 1080p sometimes even overkill in titles just a couple years old
Vega if it was a rebrand wouldn't be bad with better cooling and a bit more clock rate maybe loweer tdp
