So you were one of those kids, everybody else just used AIM.

ICQ was big in Europe.

Damn.
I still use ICQ...

I might be too young, but I've never seen ICQ in the part of Europe where I grew up.
Microsoft's MSN was the first chat service widely used by non-tech people if I recall correctly.
...
I was "one of those kids" for using AIM when everyone used MSN.
Mainly because I was always a Macfag and the MSN client for MacOS was atrocious. Not sure why Microsoft couldn't apply themselves with the Mac version, a messaging app isn't all that hard to build.

Am I supposed to know what that faggot flower is?
hi
Here's what I had to put up with in order to avoid being a social outcast.
>tfw became one anyway
RIP spamming hentai pics with pen messages and my tablet
Pulled this one from my wallpaper folder.

I hope I'm not the only one that remembers this annoying ass dude from the dell commercials.
>not 97 clippy
Would have posted image, but 4chinks thinks it's corrupted.
Kademlia was the shit. Is there even anything similar nowadays where people can just share a directory with anyone in the world?
Ahhh icq... i loved how you didn't wait on the message being sent but seen each letter typed and retyping in real time.
Also yahoo messenger chat rooms were the original chaturbate
dc++?
soulseek can i think
good ol' i-seek-you
all my bandwagon normie friends eventually migrated to MSN and then the various SNS
which was good as I didn't have to keep that bridge to normie-land open and go back to full-time irc
This is a nostalgia thread, sir, not a PTSD thread.
So that's still a thing, huh? I remember using that like 12 years ago, before I got into torrenting everything.

>Not sure why
maybe they wanted you to use windows
You are too young. Many picked up at around 2007, before that it was icq.
Fuck autocorrect many = msn
Was big in Australia. The random function was great.
Not if you're underage and tech illiterate
>sometimes
No. you plebeian. It the majority of the time slowed it down for matching game clocks.
Some hardware developers mapped the turbo to raise the clock speed instead of slowing down, so when you start the computer (defaults to low speed) and notice the pc is running too slow people would press turbo to turbolize it.
Do you not understand statistical averages?
Honestly everyone I knew used MSN after about 2000ish.
ICQ was huge before that, though.
Adium and Pidgin worked alright for me later on.
ICQ was late 90's, MSN came after that, in the early 00's.
Yup. ICQ from '96-'00, Messenger after that. Anyone using AIM was a faggot with AOL service.
I used AIM/YIM and alongside MSN to talk to americans (assuming they didn't use IRC either).

Not having an account on anything

>Anyone using AIM was a faggot with AOL service.

>AMD used to be cul once
Where did they go wrong?
Does it have a liquid sensor or what?
