Ads...

They don't, unless something changed recently. Google actually loses 1 billion a year on maintaining YouTube since they bought it.

Youtube doesn't have to be profitable when google is.
If Youtube is nearing profitability, google just cranks up the google cloud bill. This way youtube never appears as making profit when in fact profit is just shifted from youtube to google.

By suspending Terry Davis account.

They don't.

Next question motherfucker.

But how do LiveLeak or any of those video sites without ads make money?

They make tons of money through ad revenue. They make so much through ads that they can afford to pay their users tons of it. You can make plenty of money to live off of with an active channel with around 20,000 subscribers.

Youtube revenue comes from advertisers, but as said, Google actually runs Youtube at a loss.

The reason they do this is simply because of market dominance. They'd rather be losing out on a little money every year but completely destroy the other video sites.
It's a similar strategy to what amazon does. Amazon, in the beginning, was also run at a loss, simply for the reason of underpricing all other online retailers. Now that there isn't really much competition, they can raise their fees/prices and actually start becoming profitable.

Nearly 95% of revenue of Google, Twitter and Facebook are ads.

They are the true enemy.

Even MS is better now.

That's what manchildren believe. They never had negative profits on ALL products. That's a stupid meme. They usually have offers on the front page with loses in order to use that meme.

They don't have to go full retard, just front page retard, for the normies.

>implying ad revenue is a bad thing
Imagine if sundar pichai woke up tomorrow and decided to make all of google products paid. The entire world would lose it's shit.

Just install ublock origin or something and keep using everything like normal. I don't really see the issue with companies that get revenue from ads, especially when they can be blocked so easily.

You are a stupid shit. They don't make money just from the ads you blocks.

They literally sell your activity/clicks/habits to the highest bidder.

It's on their fucking LUA terms.

This only goes back to 2013, but you can see a huge upwards trend after 2015. Prior to that amazon would break even or lose money each year.

All of Google's stuff is easily replaceable.

In a sense, even a small shop can use that meme, it's really not rocket science. e.g. a regular SALE does that a lot of the time. It's not that sophisticated sometimes but the big picture is similar.

It's not because they kept the low price, but due to investing all profits to new areas. It's kind of common when business grow so fast, you don't have any money at all.
