Clock your monitors above 60Hz you stupid assholes

It's perfectly safe.

ill clock ur mum over 60hz

I clocked my 10 year old Samsung Syncmaster to 70hz few weeks ago.

Still runs awesome.

Just go the highest possible. I've never seen or even heard anyone do any real damage. Those monitors just go blank if the mode is bad and a reboot (at the worst case) obviously fixes it.

can't my hp omen resets it back to 75 again if i do this. just can tune my freesync from 45-75 to 32-75

Guys how is LG 38UC99 monitor?
I am thinking of saving money to get it by June instead of going for dual monitor?

none of my screen are locked at 60 hz even my old 4:3 monitor is a 75hz

Tried this once, super fucked up my panel until it reset. Lines and blocking all over it.

Asus VH-236h and GTX670.

Had my 2515h at 75hz for a while, but the memory on my gcard wouldn't down clock and some of my weaboo games locked to 60hz anyway so I reverted, the 290 memory produces a lot of heat.

Lol my monitor only overclocks to 66hz. Waiting on a 1440p 144hz ultrawide before I buy a new monitor.

Overclocked mine a while ago from 60 to 75, it's stable but created a few black spots in the screen (barely noticeable), and could've been when I tried to overclock higher than 75.

give me $200 for a 144 you capitalist pig

Mine cant handle anything over 60hz, i've tried, even 61hz isn't possible.

:O

lol, I think your joke is lost on many here.

>implying I didn't
running my IPS234V-PN at 77Hz since I got it

this
both AMD and nVidia have monitor overclock utilities baked in their drivers now

fuck you, i tried overclocking my monitor to 240hz and now it's dead

Mine goes up to 76, but sometimes it's unstable (especially with games) so I keep it at 75.

I got mine clocked at 72 with vertical+horizontal setup on both
72hz is optimal as for movies been recorded 24fps and hitting multiples of 24 avoid vertical tearing. Google it.

My Dell P2416D runs a @75.

Waiting for that as well. I'm pretty sure the displays themselves already exist but the problem is DP 1.2 can't do it.

xd

I'm running my monitor at 80Hz, massive difference.

is overclocking monitors a thing now?

how long until we have to liquid cool our monitors.

rgb liquid cooled monitors is the future. Cunt. Deal with it

lol I tried this meme last time it was a fad on Sup Forums

Managed to overclock my 60fps monitor to 61 fps. Amazing.

You are stupid. Your monitor is shit. Next time buy a real brand like LG.

so whats left?

>OC mouse
>OC keyboard
>OC usb interface
>OC headphones
all of which can be liquid cooled of course.

PSU :^>

>no rgb
dropped

cant overclock a psu im afraid, all the relevant parts are analog.

you could probably overclock the fan controller though.

>>OC usb interface
That is a thing you stupid asshole.

Also, if you can't see a difference between 60FPS and 76FPS you are literally blind.

what about rgb? faggot

lol r u an idiot? human eye cant see more than 60 fps XD

fuck off linus

You sound rustled. Maybe you should gyrate your autism spinner to calm down?

>no rgb usb interface
lol fucking faggot get out

Can you OC your hard drive and ssd?

What about your bios?

ITT: retards that don't know how technology works

you can set a 1920x1080 screen to 1920x1200 with custom resolution too.

my monitor can only go over by 7 hz, not worth it

You can clock your LCD to 75Hz instead of 60Hz by using CVT-R instead CVT,
nothing new.

1440p Ultrawide 144Hz Freesync for a reasonable price when?

>I overclocked my monitor, CPU, GPU, RAM, and USB ports .. I get blue screens and random blackouts every 15 minutes, but when it works, it's amazing!

144hz is enough for me thanks.

>only monitor, cpu, gpu, ram, usb
>not OCing your psu, fans, mouse, keyboard, headphones, router. water pump
oclets, when will they learn.

How do I OC my Dell monitors? nVidia card.
It's 60hz, but every game recognises it as 59....

Add more solder to the traces to carry more current.

no

The main tool that OCs monitors

monitortests.com/forum/Thread-Custom-Resolution-Utility-CRU?page=1

The latest AMD driver is kinda shitty at it, but 17.1.2 works fine.

There's no way to damage an OC monitor you retarded piece of shit. It doesn't even become unstable. It either goes blank and you revert (or reboot at the worst) or it just works or it it works with artifacts and revert again.

>killing his monitor life span
my 6 year old dell suddenly could not go 60Hz without spazzing out.
works fine at 50Hz though.
sold it off for $20.

My mouse / it's usb port is OC to 1kHz

25" 1440p with decent response times when?

>shoot video at 50fps
>feels like doing a film look
>discard every 2nd frame
>perfect film 25fps speed
PAL master race.

>tolerating PAL speedup
disgusting

> watching a slide-show
dropped
at least use blueskyFRC faggot

>2017
>not overclocking yourself

ayy lmao

>tfw artifacts at more than 60Hz
I guess this is the price for having an 1920x1200 SPVA

He didn't damage it you retarded piece of shit. He got artifacts when trying. There's no way to damage it, you just revert it back.

yes

Got this HP g6 at 110hz from 60, it looks like absolute trash however.

Oc'd my 120hz monitor to 144hz.
No lines or anything, feelin pretty good.

Asus vx228; i could go all the way to 75 Hz but decided to stay at 72 Hz since it's a multiple of 24

>implying you can tell the difference

WOW i went from 60 to 61hz

try DVI, I had way better results over DVI than HDMI

its a 4k monitor and displayport 2.0 doesnt have the bandwidth.

i have vga monitor.
75hz works but it has jagged edges and vibrates

>revert it back
>can't do 60Hz anymore

Something doesn't add up here, dumbass.

That sucks man, I guess it's not really worth it then

VGA signal rapidly degrades at anything over 1920x1200 60Hz. Even at that res/refresh you need a high quality cable.

why would it? vga has worked fine with crts that had much higher resolutions than that.

sounds life changing!

ah i see. its just a cheap thin cable.
maybe if that monitor dies i can buy a new one with better connection.

try opening the control panel

There is a very noticable difference. Other than placebo shit.

is that vista

jesus fuck I miss that taskbar

>he cant tell the difference between genuine vista and a skinned windows 7

joke's on you

that's xfce with a vista skin

science doesn't support your claim

overclock your HDD to run at higher than 7200rpm.

SSDs can't do that.

My 2005 Samsung monitor has supported 75 Hz out of the box.

no its not

>tfw mine didn't like going beyond 65Hz last time I tried

Why didn't 16:10 take off, Sup Forums?

16:9 is slightly cheaper to make

I've got my Acer H236HL at 78Hz FeelsGoodMan

winkel :DDDD

My 2004 Samsung monitor supported 100Hz out of the box.

It serves no purpose.

That is why coke is available

my 2000 dell monitor supported 120Hz out of the box

sorry you have shit eyes.

I have a 5k iMav though.

I mean 5k iMac.
How do you edit posts on Sup Forums?

Never : (

Sorry you have shit for brains. Retard.
