What are better distro options? Everything on Debian just werks out of the box.
Go xubuntu if you had a job.
hey look
What is wrong with them!? They make the default to disable Extensions, so only the ones you explicitly want are running? Almost like they're plugging the gaping security holes that occur in browsers routinely, that work by first loading poisoned extensions.
I want my gaping security hole back!!
Xfce is a meme. Not many people use it.
one of ubuntus or fedora
everything else is server neckbeard tier
You are a meme. Not many people listen to you.
# This file should be placed under /etc/chromium.d/
export CHROMIUM_FLAGS="$CHROMIUM_FLAGS --enable-remote-extensions"
I can't install the extensions locally either. I downloaded the releases from GitHub and unzipped them.
I followed the steps at cnet.com
This worked, but I shouldn't have to do this to install ad blocking
install gentoo
Eiither venture into Arch derivatives or install Mint. Honestly Mint requires even less work than Debian to install and get running. Only problem is the bloat.
Gentoo isn't that bad
They using ungoogled patched version of chromium.
Tbh fedora supported my GPU much better than any debian based distro. I'm using a 1366x768 TV as a monitor on my 2nd PC and it supports 1600x900 on windows and fedora gnome out of the box. Trying to add the resolution on any other distro shows errors on boot and I have to re apply the resolution.

Use Arch

wtf i love debian now
Install Debian for the base OS, and use nix/guix for the remainder :^)

>screen still tears like fuck
>can't install ublock and umatrix
>the user is worse off than before
You would make a great debian maintainer, user.
I fixed this problem by installing the graphics binary blobs like `firmware-amd-graphics`. However it is non-free software. It works with X11.

And?
Fedora. I guarantee you things will work even better that in Debian, plus it's up to date with the latest Linux advancements like Wayland. It's also the most secure mainstream distro by default.
Fedora or debian for home server? I wish there was a barebones debian.
There is. Just don't install a DE.
You can make a great home server with Fedora Server.
