Is there an offbrand for the MX518/G400s/etc mouse shape?
The Logitech G403 is the official successor but I don't really want to pay $60 for a mouse with a stupid backlight that will be impossible to turn off in Linux.

open the fucker up and disconnect the led
Might as well make my own mouse at that point.
I take it the g203/g102 doesn't do anything for you?
The thing only costs $20 from where I live, its a fucking steal.
>falling for the goylitech meme
ISHYGDDT
You actually found a GPro for $20? Or is it the G102?
he must mean G102
I thought so. I bought one off TaoBao for $26 and it comes with a large mouse mat so the cost came to basically under 20 bucks for just the mouse.
Yeah the G102
That image came from the logitech website, they used the same image for the G pro
Just get a Zowie mouse you fucking spergs
Why Zowie when you could have the best
with free mat
.
For the price of $0, it's not so bad.
The battery life is abysmal after a few months of use, but the battery is replaceable.
forgot the pic
I have one of those and prefer my G403 because it's a lot lighter. Definitely less tiring on the hand.
But I miss all of the buttons.
We have these at work they're actually pretty amazing. I use a g403 at home.
lots of grooves to collect dirt and dust, nice!
>dirt and dust
Skin bothers me most.
>worrying about dirt and dust on mouse
I'm sure keyboards are far more dirty than this.
My venerable G400's left click is finally starting to struggle with dragging and dropping after all of these years of perfect service. Does the G402 feel like a G400? I see it has a perfect sensor and an "updated" shape.
On second thought, I just found a cheap new G400s. Hooray for the same damn thing with a better cord.
buy a second hand mouse
bump
Step aside plebs
>Might as well make my own mouse at that point.
god damn ur a retard
Anyone else remember when Linux users were smart and technically proficient? Good god I feel old.
Why does this look like it's got a bunch of dents on it
Welp, my old Monoprice 6-key kicked the bucket after only a year. Most disappointingly short llfespan I've ever witnessed on a mouse.
What's a good, long lived replacement up the same alley at about the same price range?
Are you like 15? Who wants to spend time and effort taking apart (and reassembling) a fucking mouse.
G Pro best mouse
They're held together with screws you fucking mong.
aesthetically pleasing but what about the lack of thumb cavity, that the 400s have. i'm scared to use anything else.
I actually like the shape more over the 400 series. I originally had a Zowie EC2-A and the shape was great but having a small mouse really improves my aim in a lot of games. Generally, I had the 400 for 2 days before I returned it.
I bought a g303 to replace my mx518 but I don't like the shape like I thought I would. What others should I be looking at besides the g403?
G402 is actually the real successor shape-wise, but it's not quite the same.
Closer than G403, though.
What's the best poorfag gaymen mouse?
Same, bought it for $20. It's really good. I was using a kinzu (shitty sensor) which would cost double the price of the g203 today yet is 1000x better.
G102/G203
g400s is actually better - no prediction
I currently use a mx518 it's kinky
where?
Why did you buy the G Pro instead of the G403?
Not that user, but my hand is quite small and g pro suits better my hand.
>Inb4 muh personal preference
>ambidextrous
Why should I paid more for lefty mouse?
g pro is nice, but i really wish it had a bit more contour on the sides and on the mouse buttons.
i would have bought a diamondback but the LOD bug in the sensor would have driven me nuts.
>bit more coutour
What about the G403?
I think I'm just going to go with the 403, which appears to be closest to the 400s in design.
Why replace a totally fixable issue? Just clean out the switch or retension the spring. Your venerable G400 is still a baby compared to my MX500.
Screw technology are beyond a Linux user's ability.

Thinking of buying a water cooled mouse, any recommendations?
Any Sys Admins/Programmers here?
Is there a mouse you are using to speed up your work-flow that isn't vertical or the trackball as I would have to get adjusted at different workstations.
vim brah
I'm working on a 2 browsers with different ticketing systems and server monitoring systems.
Vimperator / Vimium don't play nice with them.
