In regard to what? Privacy? It doesn't matter, because any activity on your phone can be monitored...
What would be the difference ....
No less safe than your PC, both are compromised by the CIA and both can be spied on by your ISP

Then why is the FBI always trying to crack open people's phones? Are they just pretending?

Does this still crash ifag products?
Safe how? If the content you're looking at is illegal, it'll still have the same implications as viewing it on PC.
That said if you're referring to people around you while browsing, just don't view weeb stuff if you're paranoid. I've had people look over my shoulder more than once and if they ask, I'm in a technology forum.
I'm viewing this thread mobile right now.
Of course not everybody can peek. But the CIA, NSA and skilled hackers have the ability for example. Unless you use your self-built hardware that runs your self-written software and implement new and secure protocols for everything, you don't have real privacy. Even if you build everything from scratch, cracking it would be a piece of cake for those agencies that spy on people. Fighting against this is pointless. Privacy only has meaning on lower levels, like not letting script kiddies to watch you through the your webcam.
Ubuntu phone is pretty secure, right?

It's not safe to do anything on your "phone" (see: government issued tracking device).
